I cancelled my Argos card on 1st December and am so pleased that I did. Wrote a review about my utterly terrible experience which was taken off this platform for no good reason given. Shameful!!
I do not recommend this card to anyone and have had horrendous customer service experience.

The customer service is completely unacceptable. I tried to use my card online weeks ago, but each time I received a message that the company was facing issues with card payments. They said a new card would be sent, claiming there was nothing wrong with their payment system. The new card arrived three days ago, but I'm still getting the same message: they cannot process any card payments! On 16.01.2026, I spoke to three different representatives, and the last one, a very helpful lady, reset my account and assured me I could place a new order. However, it's the same story! I'm still unable to complete my order and payment, with the system stating they are experiencing a high volume of card transactions. It's been three weeks and nothing has changed—still no acceptance of card payments! Does customer service even exist? If anyone from the company reads this, please get in touch with me. As of 16.01.26, none of the payment options are functioning, leaving me completely unable to make a purchase online.

I have an account, and one thing they don't mention is that there are limited downloads for the app. I recently switched devices, and when I tried to download the app again, it indicated that I had reached the maximum number of devices allowed. Who imposes such restrictions on app downloads? Now, I can't access the app to check my account or make a payment.
I only gave 1 star because I couldn't leave none. I spoke to three customer service advisors, each providing different explanations—clearly, they need better training. I tried to place an order, but an error occurred, and the order never went through. Instead, they added £2400 to my account with no items received, and I was told to wait 7 days for a reversal. On the seventh day, I was told to wait another 7 days. It's absolutely ridiculous! When it comes to payments, they seem to have endless solutions, but when you're having an issue, there's nothing they can do.
I was pushed into debt when a staff member at a store encouraged me to get a card while I was vulnerable. It should never have been offered to someone unemployed. I'm not interested in a new card since I haven't been using the current one. I continue to make monthly payments, and once I pay it off, I want the account closed. I can't afford to pay much more.
I've been a customer for about 10 years, but the new terms and conditions are very unfavorable. It's frustrating that they won't help if you want to change your payment cycle. Mine is at the start of each month, but I need it at the end. By the time my cycle renews, the interest is excessive. I plan to pay this off and cancel my account. My advice is to save your money and avoid this; material possessions aren't worth accumulating debt.
Be cautious with this card! I made a 'full' payment of £69.99, but a week later, I found I had £0.01 remaining, which could have incurred interest if I hadn't noticed. Very sneaky! I'm likely to cancel my card after this. Always double-check your statements right after payments clear, as it seems they are trying to profit at your expense.
I received an email stating my coffee machine was ready for collection. After waiting in line for half an hour, I was given only the pods, not the machine. I was told it would be available around 17th Dec. I canceled the order and plan to pay off my card, as I have another option. This company is a joke; just look at all the negative reviews.
