Unreliable platform for professional merchants

This platform is unreliable for professional merchants. My business account was permanently closed due to a 'False Positive' triggered by their own official integration tool. I acted in good faith by reporting integration issues to their support team on February 17th. Instead of receiving technical help, their automated risk algorithm flagged my account on February 20th, shutting down my entire operation without any human review. The most concerning points include: Defective Software: Their official tool causes the very errors they penalize you for. Lack of Human Support: They rely on automated responses, denying any right to appeal. Financial Damage: They have halted my online store, resulting in direct economic loss without any legal justification or violation of terms. I demand an immediate manual review of my case and the restoration of my account. Be cautious: their system can jeopardize your business overnight due to their technical incompetence.

That certain sellers are especially protected by Mercado Libre Argentina.

When I bought a library that was in bad quality, broken box and scratched shelves, I put an opinion and ML rejected my opinion arguing I had used words not approved by their policy. I can accept that though there were no insults nor bad words. But, curiously, they won’t let me read my review nor rectify what could have been offensive. So by this means they protect a bad seller. With another set of things I bought from another seller, after 60 days ICould not get my invoice. The seller simply omitted to issue it and ML options are keep the goods without invoice, which is illegal, or return the goods. I find this answer annoying. Protecting a seller that avoids paying taxes.

it has a ton of options from…

it has a ton of options from electronics to fashion, but I can't say I'm entirely impressed. The secure payment system is a plus, and I do appreciate the speedy delivery. However, I’ve run into some issues with customer service, and sometimes the product descriptions are a bit misleading. It’s convenient, but it could definitely use some improvements to really shine.

I absolutely love using MercadoLibre

I absolutely love using MercadoLibre! It’s hands down one of the best online marketplaces in Argentina. The variety of products is incredible, and I appreciate how easy it is to navigate through different categories. While I sometimes wish product descriptions were a bit more detailed, the overall experience is fantastic. I've found everything from electronics to clothing, and the sellers are usually quick to respond to any questions. Plus, the secure payment options are spot on.If you’re looking to shop online, MercadoLibre is definitely the place I recommend

UNRELIABLE SERVICE: Account closed due to bugs in their official software

Mercado Pago is an unreliable platform for professional merchants. Complete spammers.They give you no way of removing your data or removing your email from their database.If you click the link to CANCELAR SUBSCRIPCION it takes you to a page that creates an account. Spammers.

Incompetent Support

The support is just incredibly incompetent. I've wasted hours turning in circles with them as they were over 6 instances not able to solver or even understand my problem.

0 stars!!! An unbelievable amount of verifications to buy just one product. The search function is also terrible. Returns all but relevant search results. I sincerely hope that MercadoLibre goes down. This is not a free market and privacy wise I have very big questions.

Faceless, deficient automated system.

For quite a few years I had used ML in Argentina without issues.Some days ago I attempted to buy a vaccum cleaner. They drove me mad with endless verifications, slowed down by their obvious technical flaws: it took half an hour for the site to verify my face.Despite all this, they immediately started calling me by a male name. I am female and had had that account for many years with my name, the same one on the photo ID documents I had to upload front and back, matching the photo they finally took of my face and the same one on the card I used to pay.There is no way to argue this, because unlike bigger operators like Amazon there is NO WAY to contact them -´-not by email, not by phone, not completing a form. You are sent back to their same deficient robotic system.By the time I managed to go ahead with my purchase the product was out of stock, so I had to cancel the transaction and added guarantee.This was BEFORE the the money left my account.However, even AFTER I GOT CONFIRMATION OF CANCELLATION, the money left my account and apparently it is going to be refunded within more than one month.Today I got a ¨no reply¨ email with the bill for the extended guarantee I cancelled three days ago. This is not just inefficiency, it is fraud, and they would not be able to operate in a country with better customer protection than Argentina.As someone else said, it used to be a useful site. Not any more. Be warned.
