Misleading Protection, Zero Accountability — Avoid Atrapalo at All CostsI am extremely disappointed and frustrated with Atrapalo. I booked an airline ticket through them and paid extra for “enhanced protection” thinking it would offer flexibility and support if something went wrong. What a mistake.When I needed to cancel or change my flight due to unforeseen circumstances, I was met with a wall of generic, unhelpful responses. Despite the so-called “protection” I paid for, they repeatedly told me there was nothing they could do—offering no refund, no credit, not even a partial resolution. This isn’t just bad service—it feels deliberately misleading. Selling “protection” that provides zero actual protection is, in my view, a scam. It’s disgraceful and has left me feeling deceived and powerless, not to mention out of pocket by $100 for a flight from El Calafate to Buenos Aires.I’ve emailed countless times with no helpful response or accountability. Based on my experience, I would not trust Atrapalo with my money, my travel plans, or anything else. They’ve lost me as a customer forever, and I urge others to avoid them at all costs.
Nunca usen a estos escamers! Hace un año tuve el error de usar el servicio smart y a pesar de haber pedido la cancelación muchas veces este año nuevamente sacaron dinero de mi cuenta y cuando he reclamado me siguen diciendo que no confirme a tiempo cuando está la prueba de que si les pedí la cancelación muchas veces. El servicio no me sirvió de nada y aunque les he denunciado por fraude a mi banco dicen que no se puede hacer mucho porque ya el dinero está con ellos. Es un asco de servicio y solo repiten lo mismo.Please be aware of the smart service, total scam
They do not allow you to pay by card from abroad so be careful if this is your case or you will be left without a hotel at the last minute. I finally had to cancel my reservation due to lack of solutions. The customer service is very disappointing.
