Our stay at the Evening View in Pigeon Forge was a complete nightmare! We celebrated my birthday from 12/19/25 to 12/24/25, and there was no hot water the entire time. A bat was flying around the cabin, the living room floor was caving in, and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut properly. I encountered a spider in the shower while bathing, and bugs were crawling on us at night in bed, plus flying around the room. We even found bugs in our clothes and luggage. The road to the cabin was steep and dangerous, making it all the more terrifying! They suggested a discount for a future stay, but why would I ever want to go through that again?
Cabin of Terror!! We stayed at the Evening View in Pigeon Forge with Aunt Bugs to celebrate my birthday from 12/19/25- 12/24/25 and it was a NIGHTMARE! No hot water entire stay, Bat flying around cabin, floor in living room caving in, bathroom door with only shower won’t shut, had a spider in inside shower curtain while showering, Bugs crawling on us at night in the bed and flying around room, bugs in our clothes/ luggage and road to cabin so steep and dangerous it was terrifying! They offered us a discount to come back why would I ever want to experience that again?
Waste gas fumes for the entire visit, roaches, no remotes worked, was not cleaned, lights on coffe room doesn’t work due to a short, fireplace downstairs high fumes so roomWas cold, hot tub was dirty ….Everyday was called. Just awful
We have found several Roaches in the cabin. The outside could definitely use some TLC clean up. The smell of mold, guess that’s why there is two air cleaners in there. The bedrooms mattresses is definitely needing replaced. It sinks in the middle bad.Didn’t use the hot tub smelled strong like bleach!! This is the Cabin called Creek Song #166 in pigeon Forge
We stayed at 1728 Summit Way, excited about our vacation to the cabin. This was the nastiest cabin I've ever stayed in. There were mouse droppings in the pots and pans, hot tub was disgusting and slimy, the broken toilet, dishwasher smelled like fish, pictures were misleading because items in the advertising photos were not at the cabin. The linens were stained, and the bed was dirty. We found dirt and other items under the dresser that were from a previous renter. We ended up eating out the whole time because the dishes were disgusting. We sent pictures to customer service, and they informed us they would come clean the cabin. We returned to the cabin, and nothing had been cleaned. I contacted them again and was told they could send another cleaning crew out to clean the cabin and I said no because you had the chance the first time I called. I don't go on vacation to clean someone else's mess and lack attention to detail with cleanliness. I followed up with the customer service team after returning from vacation because they said they would forward the information to the management team. They informed me since I refused to let them come out and "clean" the cabin, nothing can be done.
On July 17th, I rented a cabin through AirBnB in Gatlinburg Tennessee. It was listed under an owner so I thought I was renting through an individual. However, that was false information as I received a call after the rental process was complete from Aunt Bug's Cabin Rentals. The cabin belonged to them but was not advertised that way. I chose the cabin because I was traveling with young children and it offered amenities I needed for them. In its listing its advertised as having a screened in wrap around porch, internet and arcade games which were key selling points for me. When we arrived, the front door knob was literally hanging and unattached. Upon entering the cabin, I quickly discovered the photos posted in the listing, were false. The furniture was in horrible shape and not what was depicted in pictures. Cabinet doors were falling off and literally in the floor. Bugs were everywhere. The screen to the porch is not existent. There are no arcade games. There is a cat on the property and cat hair all in the bedding and furniture. With a kid with an allergy that is a problem. The internet never worked. The air conditioner was spotty. I tried to contact the business and host immediately and neither offered any help. I couldn't find any other lodging for my family of 5. We stayed the night reluctantly, and went out the following morning. At some point a cleaner or maintenance man came to the cabin (without our knowledge) and took our carbon monoxide detector that we brought from home (we have previously experience carbon monoxide poisoning and always travel with our own detector). Now Aunt Bugs refuses to acknowledge their horrible conditions, and refuses to return our property that was STOLEN. I have called multiple times and never get any response from them. I am out almost $700 and a horrible vacation and am dealing with a company who is scamming people left and right with false advertisement.
Horrible ! Our cabin wasn't even cleaned. There was a condom wrapper under one of the beds and the sheets were dirty . The pull out bed in the couch was horrific. Blood stains a crumbs all over it . The shower upstairs had a hairball the size of a quarter laying in it . The hot tub had not been cleaned . No chlorine and gritty sand that could have been calcium buildup . Then to top it all off the dryer didn't work 2 knobs were off of it so we had to hang dry and I've got pictures of all of the this and videos . My husband made them aware of this and the only thing they said is they'd let someone know . We will be contacting booking.com as soon as we return from our vacation. This was just gross and totally uncalled for . Won't ever book with aunt bugs again .
We stayed at Moonshine 1611, and I can confidently say I would never recommend Aunt Bug’s Cabin Rentals to anyone. I regret not trusting my instincts after reading the mixed reviews—lesson learned. This was a last-minute detour for our babymoon. We were in Florida and decided on a spontaneous two-day trip to Gatlinburg. I came across this cabin online, and based on the photos, it didn’t look too bad, so I booked it. But from the moment I hit "confirm," I had a bad feeling. I started reading more reviews, and honestly, they were alarming—but nothing could have prepared us for what we actually experienced. We arrived around 10:30 PM on Friday, April 4, 2025, tired from the long drive with our small dog. At first glance, the cabin looked decent and relatively “clean.” But things went downhill fast.I went to take a shower, and while the shower itself didn’t seem dirty, I noticed BUGS in the sink. We were exhausted, so we tried to settle in for the night. That’s when I pulled back the comforter and saw the sheets—they were filthy. It looked like they hadn’t been washed at all. Disgusted, we decided to sleep on top of the covers instead.A few hours later, while my husband was asleep, I started hearing noises. At first, I thought it was coming from outside. But the sounds got closer and clearer—until I heard something messing with my dog’s food bowl. I turned on a flashlight and woke my husband. That’s when we saw it: a huge rat (or possibly a giant mouse) coming out from under the couch and heading toward the dog bowl.I was in complete shock. I immediately called the after-hours number—they were zero help. I called multiple times, and each time I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. The only response I got was a vague text saying they were “trying to reach management.”By 12:30 AM, we had no choice but to pack up and find a hotel for the night. The next morning, I called and spoke to a man named Steven. I explained the situation, and he actually said, “There are no rats in Tennessee.” I was stunned. I told him, “Look, I don’t care if it was a rat, mouse, or some other giant rodent—it shouldn’t be inside a cabin I paid over $600 for.”Eventually, he called me back to say they would issue a refund. But then he added, “It’s normal to have a mouse or rat in a cabin—just like how it’s normal to have scorpions in places where they’re native.” That comment nearly sent me over the edge.To sum it up: this place had bugs, dirty sheets, and rodents. It was completely unacceptable. Aunt Bug’s ruined the last part of our trip, and I will never book through them again. If you're considering staying here—don’t. Stay far, far away.
Emerald Lights #203 Cabin GatlinburgTo begin, photos on website are old and deceptive. The living room floor was completely destroyed with deep scratches. The main fireplace was very old and hard to get running, the pool table dirty but that was the least of anything. There was a major plumbing leak in the upstairs bathroom that dripped and wet into the downstairs kitchen every time we bathed. The cabin was not ready at 4pm check in and I am sure they gave it to us without cleaning the downstairs floor. It was filthy! Both beds smelled like the comforters and pillow cases had never been washed. My grand daughter got bitten by bed bugs or an allergic reaction to filthy sheets the first night and my daughter in the other bed the next night. This ruined our vacation since they had to be medicated with Benadryl. Someone came the second day to address the fireplace. They were not able to get in because our 5 lb dog was downstairs not in a kennel. In their defense I’m sure they would have fixed the major pluming leak, washed all the bed sheets, checked for bed bugs and cleaned the whole downstairs floor while we were out.
