From the moment the car was picked up. The car was easily the most damaged scratched up vehicle I've ever rented. So badly scratched and dinged I had to take many many pictures to make sure they didn't blame me when I returned the car. Oh and the car had no gas literally on empty with a red light. The employee Suleman Mohamed said "just bring it back empty no problem". What? Come to find out Suleman doesn't know how to drive so really he had no idea how idiotic of a comment that was. The two front tires were so badly worn and bald, the metal threads were popping out when I returned the car. One of the employees said he has been telling his boss to replace the tires on several of the cars because they are bald but they don't listen to him. Seems they would rather risk the lives of customers and other drivers than replace worm out front tires.

So when I returned the car one of the employees walked around the vehicle with me and said I was not responsible for any of the scratches or dings that they were from previous rentals. And the front tire with the steel threads showing was not my problem either. Well I just received the statement via email that says I causes 6 new damages including the tires. I will be filing all this fraudulent activity with my Visa credit card company as well as with my insurance company. Do Not Do Business with this Fraudulent Car Rental Company.. AutoOne!

It was one of the worst rental companies I have ever used. When you think they can’t possibly invent anything else, there comes another surprise.
There was no “Surprise” sign at the shuttle pickup point. I waited for 40 minutes. When I called, they said they would send the shuttle, and when I asked which vehicle it was, they said PARKtoAir — which had already passed by three times while I was waiting there.
When I finally arrived at the counter after one hour, the attendant threatened me, saying I had to purchase the full insurance. I explained that I use my credit card insurance, and he immediately replied that for the card to cover any damage, the company would need to provide detailed information and costs — and that they would not do so because, according to him, they are not legally required to provide it.
After a long discussion, the only way I could get the car was by paying for something extra. I ended up paying a cleaning fee.
When I received the car, it was dirty, covered in dents and scratches, the windshield wipers were not working properly, there was a very loud noise coming from the vehicle, there was no water in the washer reservoir, and the fuel tank was not completely full. On top of that, they gave me the car without the registration document. The police stopped me, and it was a very stressful situation to avoid getting fined.
Even after sending an email requesting at least a photo of the registration document, I never received any response.
Never again with this company.

Do not use this company. The car we booked was not available so they gave us another that was dirty

Do not use this company. The car we booked was not available so they gave us another that was dirty and constantly gave a brake warning during the entire rental period. The tyres were very worn. When we returned the car they claimed we had chipped the windscreen which we did not but as we couldn't prove it they charged us 1430 euros for a tiny minute dot that you could hardly see. I will never use them again and recommend you don't either.

Avoid at all costs: A confusing, unsafe, and dishonest experience

I experienced problems from the outset. My booking confirmation instructed me to go to the Green Motion desk in the airport terminal; however, no such desk exists. Other rental companies hadn't even heard of Green Motion, and the contact number provided was "not in service." At this point, I genuinely thought I had been scammed. After the airport help desk suggested I take a shuttle to the P3 car park, I received a WhatsApp message mid-journey telling me I was in the wrong place. I returned to the airport, where I was sent a confusing photo of their "office" followed by a Google Map pin. This led to a 1km walk through an unmarked underpass to a supermarket car park. I was met there by a man in a private car who drove me the rest of the way to an office for AutoOne, not Green Motion. I found the entire process highly disconcerting; I certainly wouldn't have been comfortable with my wife or daughter being asked to follow a stranger into a supermarket lot. The car provided was a Seat Arona, not the VW I’d booked. While substitutions are common when hiring cars, the Seat was a downgrade from a VW. No pre-delivery inspection was undertaken, nor was I asked to sign for any existing damage. Sensing the lack of professionalism, I took my own photos of the significant damage I found. 50km into my drive to Tuscany, the car’s oil service light came on. Not a great start! A week into my three-week hire, I was stopped by the Carabinieri, who pointed out that the front tires were illegal. After I contacted AutoOne, they instructed me to drive to Florence to swap the vehicle. Upon arrival—and before even addressing the exchange—the staff ignored the safety issue and instead spent an hour forensically examining the car for damage. They demanded I prove every mark wasn't my doing, which, fortunately, I could do using the photos I’d taken at the start. However, they eventually found a tiny 5mm stone chip on the bonnet that I hadn't photographed, for which they spent another hour demanding €600. I suspect these high-pressure tactics were used because I had opted for my own external insurance rather than theirs. It felt like an attempted robbery and, judging by other reviews, is clearly a deliberate strategy to scam customers. Ultimately, I refused to pay, pointing out that since they failed to conduct a collection inspection, they could not prove the chip wasn't pre-existing.They eventually exchanged the vehicle for another Seat Arona—it seems their entire fleet consists of this model, regardless of what you book. The replacement was hardly an improvement: by the following day, both the service light and the airbag fault light had illuminated. On the "plus side," the tires were marginally better than the illegal ones on the previous car, though only just. When I returned the second car to Bergamo, I explained it was a replacement vehicle. When the representative, Luca, asked why, I told him the original car had been hired to me with illegal tires. He incredibly asked me what I meant by "illegal," at which point my frustration became evident. I firmly but calmly explained that the tread depth was below the legal minimum and therefore dangerous. I questioned how someone in the car hire industry could fail to understand the term "illegal" and told him I believed the company was unprofessional and deliberately endangering lives.Luca did not take this feedback well. Instead of apologising for the safety breach, he became visibly aggressive, repeatedly swearing at me and accusing me of being "disrespectful" and trying to "cause a scene." It was unlike anything I have ever experienced in a customer service environment; he was an absolute disgrace and is clearly unfit for a public-facing role. Despite his outburst, I remained calm and insisted that he inspect the vehicle in my presence and document "no new damage" on the return form. Once that was secured, I left.AutoOne is, without question, the worst car hire company I have ever dealt with. They provide poorly maintained, dangerous vehicles and employ unprofessional, incompetent staff who use high-pressure tactics to scam customers over insurance and pre-existing damage. They simply should not be in business. Avoid them at all costs.

Auto One / Sure Price company - Avoid!

I was thinking of leaving two stars but as the issue was a major Health and Safety I went for one star. First the positives- the car was nice when driven on clean road and I got it for a bargain price. The negatives were that it was January and the car was given to me with worn out summer tires - there was a snowfall and the car became unusable. The snow chains in the boot were the wrong size, which I discovered after 30 minutes of trying to put them on. The windscreen wipers were very squeaky every time they were turned on. The person who was supposed to pick me up from the airport said he will come in five minutes after I called him but he came in 30 minutes. Then he said that he doesn’t have enough room in his car for my family of 3 as he had other customers in the car too. So he took only me to pick up the car and I had to come back to the terminal afterwards to collect my family. When I went to collect the car in the Auto One office there was a queue already and only one person working. It was a slow process with many frustrated people. When I was served the lady tried to push me to buy their insurance which was €77 for 48 hrs rent. I declined so she started threatening me with possible breakdown scenarios. I have my own insurance so I politely declined. When she gave me the keys the lady took me at the back of the office where the car was parked in a separate fenced yard, in a dark building site, where there was no light and she said that I should take my own photographs and videos for any damages. The car was not washed either. I struggled to take photos in the dark but I did as much as I could see. I am glad that I did that because when I was returning the car they questioned a couple of small chips which I am glad that I captured on my photos. I wouldn’t use this company again. I know they say you get what you pay for, but the tires was a H&S issue which shouldn’t be compromised.

Very poor experience / Non professionale, stressante e sconsigliato

Very poor experience. We rented a 9-seater van via DoYouItaly (voucher DYI-198259211) at Naples Airport. Our flight arrived at 17:00 and we called at 17:10 as instructed. We were told to wait at the meeting point, then called again at 17:30, 18:00 and 18:30. Each time we were told the same: “I’m alone, still busy.”We finally walked 15 minutes to their location and only got the vehicle close to 7 pm, losing 1.5 hours of a very short weekend trip (it was my wife’s birthday). The staff member was rude, shouted in English and Italian, tried to charge €20 in advance for cleaning, and argued about refunding one day despite the late pickup. The van had multiple body damages, low tire pressure warning, and less than 1/4 tank of diesel. On return, despite delivering the vehicle in the same condition, we received a false check-in report saying we “didn’t wait” and that the vehicle was dirty.Unprofessional, stressful, and not recommended.Esperienza pessima.

car rental

I ordered Jeep, but got SEAT. Car asked every 5 min about "oil change" and SOS call to company. Pick up took ~ 3 times more compare to any other rent company I used before. In order was written company name "green motion". Nobody knew this company, even shuttle driver from airport to car rental.

Be careful

Be very careful. I was charged nearly €500 for a minor cosmetic wheel scratch that I explicitly rejected in writing on the damage report. My photos and video showing the damage existed before the rental were dismissed, while the company refused to share their own evidence.
