I cannot recommend the service we received from Barnshaw more highly. After 15 years our beautiful Springer Spaniel Nula was beginning to suffer and we had arranged with the Vet at Silver Gate to end her suffering at home. Chris & Diane from Barnshaw arrived at our house shortly after the vet and were gentle and compassionate in the way they talked to us about Nula, our loss and how their individual cremation service would progress. They made a very emotional time much easier to bear, and the whole service was exemplary. Their empathy and consideration when we collected Nula’s ashes will not be forgotten by us. Thank you so much Barnshaw.
We sadly had to say goodbye to our senior Labrador recently. Silver Gate vets and Barnshaw Pet Crematorium couldn’t have made the sad experience any better- they were patient, empathetic, caring and compassionate. You could just tell they loved animals and were making a sad situation as comfortable and peaceful for our beloved Luna. Knowing she fell asleep at home whilst we cuddled and comforted her has really helped us with our grief. The kindest end to a truly wonderful moment of our family. Banshaw Pet crematorium returned Luna’s ashes promptly with a lovely card and personalised wooden heart- a really thoughtful gesture which was greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately we had to use Barnshaw on Bank Holiday Monday 26th August 2024. They were referred by Silver Gate Vets who they work very closely with. The vets came to our house to put Ozzy to sleep and there was no rush whatsoever - everything was done in the our time - Once the vet had finished they advised we could have as long as we needed until Barnshaw collected Ozzy - we said about 10 mins or so - they respectfully reversed up our driveway very very slowly and everything was explained to us what would happen - Chris and Diane were fantastic and treated Ozzy like it was a person from our family - very dignified. I helped them carry Ozzy out in the sling to their vehicle as he was a big lad - and there was a big comfy bed waiting to put him in with a snug blanket. Again they drove off very slowly on their drive back down to Tenterden. Ozzy was cremated on his own later that day as we didn't want him put in a freezer or on a group cremation.After the event we sorted out options with Chris and Diane on the casket we wanted and the writing to be engraved on it.All was done swiftly and rather than having it posted and the risks involved with that, we decided to make the trip to Tenterden to collect Ozzys ashes. They have a lovely setup here and everything is so personal, Ozzy was ready for us along with the paw print they took before cremation and a lovely card with some very kind words inside.I cannot recommend Chris and Diane enough - they were brilliant in a time that was very dark for us losing our Ozzy who was 13.5 years old - thank you so much for everything you did guys its very much appreciated. RIP Ozzy you are at home with us now pride of place and we light a candle for you every evening xxx
Would just like to say a big thank you to Chris and Dianne our beloved Doberman passed away in the middle of the night They were soo kind and caring our boys ashes was ready the next day such great service at such a sad time Definitely recommend and thanks again xx
We knew our precious Zena wouldn’t be with us much longer so contacted these incredible people. Explained all that we’d like and when the inevitable happened they picked her up with her favourite blankie and racooooooon, her favourite toy. So kind, compassionate, efficient, thoughtful & respectful. Zena was back home the same day. Life will never ever be the same but we were blessed to have her in our lives and to have such a great service and support from Di & Chris - thank you doesn’t express the gratitude we feel. Xx🐾
Chris treated my beloved dog Flo with the utmost respect and care. He was patient and kind, taking his time with us during a very difficult time. The casket we chose was beautifully engraved, and packaged with care and attention when returned to us. Barnshaw exceeded my expectations.
When we contacted Branshaw at 5 am, Chris was really helpful and accommodated us that very early in the morning. Their surroundings was really peaceful for my beloved Tinku as a last resting place and I am thankful that we found Barnshaw. Loved their extra effort of care - wooden heart shaped with my pet name engraved on it and their condolence msg.
Chris and Di looked after our cat, Merlin, after he passed away. Chris scanned his paw print for us and Di emailed it to us. His ashes were ready for collection within 24 hours and were contained in a lovely wooden box with his name engraved on the top. They even engraved a heart token with his name which we found really touching. Their efficient service made a very sad time a little bit easier.
