When recently our beloved pet cat Sox passed away at 18 years we were devastated.Diane and Chris at Barnshaw Pet Crematorium were fantastic.The service was exeptional.They were caring, and compationate, and we will always be gratfull to them.Great people,great service.
I cannot thank Chris and Di enough for there care and support in managing the cremation of my daughter's pet rabbit 'Sooty'. They were warm and caring in every interaction / communication that we had and were sensitive to the sense of loss we felt as a family at all points. Sooty had been a member of the family for 13 and half years so he was very dear to us all.Caring, friendly and supportive. We could not have asked for more. The sense of genuine care and support was first class.
What wonderful people, compassionate, caring and taking great care of my GirlieGirl Bess - I was given time and privacy to be with her for a few minutes, and if I couldn't have collected her ashes on the day I was assured they would take her indoors into the house to be with them until I could get there - now to some that would seem a tad over the top, but for me as I grieved and said my final goodbye it meant so much. A delightfully professional organisation with a deep touch of humanness! And if you're very lucky their labradors will help you through a difficult time with their own sharing of love and joy - letting you know and feel that life goes on.
Di couldn't have been nicer and more respectful in this hard time, I felt at peace knowing Atticus was in good hand for his last journey. After the cremation we received a sympathy card which really meant a lot to us, to see our little prince had been looked after like the precious being he was.
What an amazing couple, Di and Chris made the last part of my dogs journey one that I’ll be forever grateful for. Kind and professional, they made sure that they made everything tailored to what we wanted and went beyond the call to support us and our sadness as best as they could. Highly recommend Barnshaw they have been amazing. Thank you so much.xxx

On Good Friday 2021,our beautiful old mastiff Ajay died very peacefully aged14 years +.Although expected as Ajay had doggie dementia we were very upset .I found Barnshaw Pet Crematorium by googling and emailed asking if they could help? The reply from Diane was instantaneous. yes of course they would help .l was too sad to phone that evening but the next morning l phoned and Dianes response was warm and helpful we wrapped our boy in his blanket with his teddy bear and set off.The kindness and courtesy shown to my son and myself and our beautiful Ajay by Diane and Chris could not have been been more professional it was like being at a funeral parlour for a human relative.We could have collected Ajays ashes earlier but decided Easter Monday was as soon as emotionally we could manage.We will treasure our memories of Ajay and also the professional kindness of Diane and Chris forever.
