Called the lovely people at Barnshaw late afternoon Monday, an hour after losing my sweet pup. Right away the compassion I felt during the initial call, I knew I’d found the right people to take care of my boy. The next morning I’d met with Chris, who was a very kind man and assured me that my boy Fudge was in the best hands. The quiet room they had was lovely, a nice bed for him to lay on, surrounded by candles. The choices and little extras are a nice touch, I felt no pressure into added options and I was more than happy with the prices as I would have paid anything for the service and care they gave him. Within an hour and a half, I was ready to take my boy home in a beautifully presented wooden urn/box with his name engraved and his paw print also engraved on top (small extra charge but so worth it) along with a small sample of his ashes (for necklace, pillow ect) his cremation certificate, a lovely wooden engraving of his paw print and a beautiful sympathy card from Chris, Diane and Kat! I couldn’t recommend these lovely people more. Thank you for taking care of my sweet little boy! Means the world.
The compassion and sincerity from Chris has made what was a heartbreaking day into a more bearable one.Making the decision to let our beautiful collie,Frank, cross the rainbow bridge was one of the hardest we've ever made, but the service we received from this wonderful family business has been impeccable. We collected Frank today to bring him home and found he came home with a few special touches that show us he was cared for . We cannot thank you all enough. I would highly recommend you to anyone else that is grieving the loss of a four legged family member. Xx
I would wholeheartedly recommend Chis and the team. We lost our beautiful Coco unexpectedly and were quite bereft. At Barnshaw, Chris met and spoke with us, providing understanding and human kindness at such an awful time. The experience is personal and private. We chose Barnshaw as they only undertake individual cremations which was so important for us. To know that she was treated gently in the final moments from our last sad cuddle, to us receiving her ashes was a reassurance. The care Chris showed to us and our little loved one was first rate. Even the selection of how they create nose and paw prints was made by Barnshaw to reduce any interference with the pets in their care. At every stage thoughtfulness, understanding and a genuine love for animals comes through. We didn’t want a large public crematorium. The personal and simple touches provided by Chris and the Barnshaw team were just right. Many many thanks.
Chris and di were so good they were very caring patient and allowed me time to say my final goodbye to my beloved fidget and the little touches they done was amazing again thankyou Chris and di I recommend barnshaw pet crematorium 100% you won’t find no fault with them amazing
Our lovely girl Lily had lived a long and happy life, but at the grand old age of 16 it was her time to go and be with her best friend Dudley who we passed away 2 years ago.I was extremely anxious about the process and spoke to Chris the morning it was happening (as everything had been arranged by Silver Gate Vets) and he was so understanding and kind. He really put my mind at ease about what would happen later that day.The care and compassion Chris showed my family , but more importantly Lily, was outstanding. He wrapped Lily in a lovely warm blanket, placed her favourite teddy under her paw, and picked her up with such care and respect. It made a very difficult time just a little bit easier.We were able to pick up Lily's ashes the following day and Chris had even made a little heart for Dudley as well - what a thoughtful and lovely touch. Thank you so much.
We recently had to use the service of barnshaw pet crematorium and would like to thank them for an amazing experience as losing our beautiful dog was extremely painful experience and they made everything easy and very professional service from the vets attending our home and taking him away I would highly recommend them to anyone Thank you barnshaw
As first time dog owners, this experience was a first for me and my partner. We had two elderly dogs who had reached pain at the same point in their lives, so making the decision to put them down together seemed right. Chris and Di were incredibly professional, they knew exactly what to say to bring comfort and strength in the decision we'd made and handled the dogs with the utmost care and consideration. They were snuggled beautifully in the back of their transport and we were kept up to date with all ongoings through messages, as well as lots of decisions along the way. We could not have asked for a better company to care for, cremate and create the most beautiful casket for our two babies and we feel so happy we chose them to be a part of the process. Very highly recommend.
When I received the call from the Vets that my little girl was very ill and couldn’t be saved, Di was great. I was so upset and couldn’t speak so she messaged me and we made arrangements. What was such an awful time was made so much easier knowing Di would collect my little dog that day and she would be looked after.The personal touches are so lovely, I was able to choose a casket and a paw print which is such a beautiful memory, I was able to collect her ashes the day after, I personally wouldn’t use anyone else and I’m very grateful for all the help and care that was taken.Thank You Di & Chris.
