I had two bathrooms tub and enclosures done by Bath fitters in 2021. I had no complaint or question about the cosmetic work that was done the product looked great until about a month ago. I had water coming done in my living room ceiling from one of the bathrooms above. Well after hiring a plumber after we had to open up the ceiling to investigate the leak was coming from one of the tubs. The leak was coming from the overflow of the tub we took the cap off and found there was only one screw holding the back plate where the gasket sits therefore allowing water to pour out the overflow onto the ceiling below. After having cold Bath fitters of Fort Meyers several times they refused to take responsibility for the error in fact it is clear they could never put the second screw in to hold the back plate because the tub insert covered the screw hole !!
My mother in law spent 9200.00 to get a shower installed in her unit in Parksville, BC. Initially they were very pleased with it, but after some use found that it was too slippery and dangerous to shower. The Manager was rude when speaking to my mother in law, and told her that she had to pay extra for anti slip and the conversation "was over" . What we don't understand is why if they are putting in a shower for an elder person, that includes grab bars, why would they not include an anti slip surface in the quote , it stands to reason that a slippery surface is massively dangerous to anyone especially an elder person with balance issues. As the owners of a Construction company, we have the ability to fix this issue ourselves, for people that do not have this option STAY AWAY FROM PARKSVILLE BATHFITTERS! Ed is arrogant and un helpful.To bath fitters in general anti slip surfaces should be automatic in your quotes, it's a no brainer!
It was an excellent experience: The old tub was removed quickly and the shower was installed quickly and efficiently. All our requests were met in every regard in a timely manner. The installers were professional and courteous- Bryan, Marco, Gabby & Gull. Beverley in the office co-ordinated everything needed. Robert Munro, the salesman, explained the process clearly and professionally. The whole process was seamless and excellent.
Everything about the installation of our walk in shower was excellent from the first meeting with Todd McGowan who presented a very informative package. He also installed the unit himself with professional and timely work. We are extremely happy and satisfied.
Bath Fitter was professional, one day job and I love my new bathtub. There were a couple of things I wish I had known at the time of consultation. I was told that the tub was the same size as the one they took out but the before and after pictures shows that my tub was a little bigger. I wish I would have gotten my tub actual size and the size that the Rep put down. It's not much smaller so without proof I kept the tub. I wasn't told by the Rep the curtain rod was a permanent fixture. I would not have bought one. I like to change my curtains for different looks. Just be aware and measure everything you are replacing. I still love my bathtub remodel and would recommend Bath Fitter. But always have your own measurements and ask lots of questions during the consultation process. Cathy A.Converse, TX
From the first day of meeting Paul from Bath Fitter we knew that we would not go anywhere else. He was very personable and gave us loads of options on renovating our bathroom. His team could not have been more professional and respectful of our home. They arrived on time every day and left our home spotless. Had bathfitters limerick, redo our bathroom. The guys were great, they fitted what they were given. Firstly the new bath leaked, and had to be replaced. They put a hole on the new wall, came back and put a coupling over the hole on the wall. The wrong toilet was fitted and we still have it, apparently to put in the toilet we ordered we would have to take up the bathroom floor, we were not told this when we placed our ordered. The hand basin had to be taken out and we still have a basin we didn't order, bathfitters don't know the difference between rectangle and round, we ordered a round basin, and on the second visit to replace the first basin they put in, they put in a rectangle one. The final insult was when they put a tatty light plastic toilet seat on, when we had ordered a soft close seat. After many months waiting, and a big deal made of it, we were delivered a toilet seat at about 8.30 pm one night. We were told it had to be specially ordered, the next day when my husband opened the box, it contained the very same tatty light plastic seat. This ordeal went on for 8 months. If I had the.money, I would tear the whole lot out and have Mt bathroom done by professional bathfitters. Do not go near this company, they will break your heart.
I installed a walk in shower 3 years ago in my basement bathroom. A tub was removed to make the install ready. The drain for the tub was in a different location than the shower drain. The had to cut a hole in the concrete to move the drain. They did not fill in the hole with concrete after positioning the drain. So that left a hole in the concrete around the drain. This past week we had 9 inches of rain. Water came into our basement through the hole they left and now we have to replace almost 600 square of floor covering in our basement. We have a sump pump but it could not keep up with the amount of water coming into our house. Bath fitters said they are sorry but will not do anything to resolve the problem. They tried to tell me they never fill the holes with concrete.
