Review Time
I have been asked to write a review well here goes.
The contact centre is not fit for purpose in my opinion. They refuse to reimburse me £159 for their engineers errors and mistakes. The service was cut short and the boiler was still leaking after his visit.
The 2nd engineer lied and did not stop the leak and lied in his report. The 3rd and 4th visit by the same engineer solved nothing and he was totally useless in solving the leak.On the 5th visit an engineer came who knew what he was doing and solved everything.
All details are being e mailed to the CEO of the BDR THERMEA GROUP who own Baxi this coming week for his comments. My security cameras have served their purpose.
Divetor(Black and white small parts) damaged but it is available in Wosely in Plumbing shop The technician can buy the item same day but I have to wait for parts since days without hot water and heating and so many times I asked them any so stupid service and provided service policy I hated.
Be careful all customers when engineers work and asked what is the issue etc
Phoned up got my appointment text email night before said 1 and 6 had a call from Rob said will be here with in a hr he came did the boiler he is a good friendly man I have had him service my boil the last 6 years 👍
Annual service reminder came via email, was sent another and booked it easily online.
I was sent a letter for a final reminder which was a little annoying given I had booked it.
One booked had good communication as to the time and potential arrival.
Friendly engineer, worked to complete the service. Completed and gave me a verbal report.
I recently encountered a situation where a friend purchased a new *Baxi* boiler from a local plumbing store. After installing discovered a missing component. It is perplexing how a product can be dispatched from the manufacturing site with an incomplete part. The packaging clearly indicates the product's weight, which is presumably verified as the final step at the production facility before dispatch to the retail outlet for sale. However, the presence of a missing part raises concerns about the adequacy of the computer system in approving the product for shipment. This issue suggests the potential for numerous products being dispatched with incomplete components. Consider a scenario where an old boiler has been removed and essential gas and water connections have already been established; discovering a missing part in the new boiler at this stage is highly inconvenient. I strongly advise against selecting Baxi, despite their 7-year warranty offering. (Don't fall for this warranty) In a subsequent case, a new Baxi boiler was installed, and despite following all prescribed procedures, the boiler failed to operate due to a faulty pump. Based on these experiences, I recommend avoiding this product altogether. Additionally, it is important to note that retailers are unable to resolve such issues; customers must communicate directly with the manufacturer. My suggestion is that if a part is missing, the retailer should be authorised to open a replacement box from stock and swap out the missing component to facilitate completion of the installation, especially given the demanding schedules of installers.
Engineer was right! Fitted a flow restrictor on hot side. Boom instant increase in water temperature at ALL hot outlets.
Spent a fortune recently on advice that proved to be incorrect.
£90 on a Hans Grohe valve... No improvement. 90p restrictor on Engineer advice... Sorted.
Thank you Baxi man.
We have two Baxi boilers both at my house and at my mums house. Ours is now 10 years old and only had to have attention once from Baxi which was a switch had failed. My mums had hers 6 so far and had to have a filter changed. Both times the engineer came at the booked time were very good and fixed the problems 1st time. I’d recommend Baxi both for customer service and support
Discovered my boiler was still under warranty when I was having issues with it cutting out. Baxi had an engineer visit within 24 hours.
I was kept up to date about when to expect the engineer - even received a text to say he had arrived.
He put shoe covers on before going upstairs and walking on my carpet. I appreciated this as it is cream.
He knew almost immediately what the issue was and sorted it promptly, leaving a suggestion about what could be done if the problem returned.
Fabulous service. 👌
I knew as soon as the guys started work that they would do a good job and they did. They did not cut corners or work to a deadline and rush. They took pride in their work which I knew they wood. I prefer workers like this as I have had bad work done sometimes.
This is the 1st Time I have had to call out a Baxi Engineer for a boiler still under 5 year warranty. My Boiler broke down and Engineer was booked online (Very easy) with next day appointment. Engineer came out, telephoned me in advance with time slot of 2 Hours, diagnosed issue cracked Heat Exchanger ordered parts and Installed within 3 Working Days. Really Pleased with the Baxi Engineer who very friendly and diagnosed problem with 2 mins
