I received my order from Beauty Habit. They used USPS priority mail materials to package my order inside a Manila envelop. This is not allowed and subject to fines. This costs us consumers in the long run when businesses do this. I’m taking the materials in to my local post office to report them,
I was excited to order a perfume that I’ve been unable to get shipped to the UK as the maker only ships within US. The shipping from the US was almost the same price as the perfume (no surprise here it’s always so expensive in any store) my order came to £129 total including shipping. This works out approx $167 USD, so I was surprised to get a order cancellation email later in the day explaining orders to UK/EU need to be $150 minimum, and if I choose a more expensive shipping option this would bring my order up to the minimum transaction value.I replied asking for an explanation as I was confused I thought my order met the minimum required spend if shipping was included. They replied saying it had to be $150 before tax and shipping. They appear to be making it up arbitrary rules for some unknown reason, as they don’t want my custom that’s fine I’m at least grateful for a reply and refund it seems I was lucky to get that after reading others experiences here.
Does not care for customer service just like other reviews. It likely feel it can be like that since they do have products not found in other similar stores. Sadly, it will catch up just like anthing. I have no issue with the product brand I bought. I like it. Customers do not expect perfection all the time. However customer except to be heard when an issue arises and not just dismiss with “if you are not satisfied, you can return the product”, knowing full well why customers buy products online. One of them is convenience and time aside from quality and service.
I have a love/hate relationship with Beautyhabit. When they are good they are GOOD - generous samples, fast shipping, great products. BUT, when they are bad, they are really bad. One thing I hate about this business is that, several times, I have bought things from them that either they never ship (literally), stuff is missing, and they are not honest about it, either. And it always happens, inevitably, when I make a big order. You really have to fight with them to get your money refunded, as they will ignore you. They also very rarely have sales and promos, their standard shipping is really high, all things which wouldn’t bother me so much if they weren’t so uptight about their mistakes and communicated. I would love to support them more as they are local to me but their horrendous CS forces me to shop elsewhere.
I stumbled on beauty habit (beautyhabit.com) quite accidentally while searching for a perfume set which seemed to be sold out every where, and they had it. While there I discovered a dizzying array of niche perfumes and bath products from around the world , other little goodies (fine European candies, classic old colognes). The site has dozens of offers so you will find a selection of bonuses at just about any level. You may also request samples of just about anything on site. I had shopped for many years at a well known online perfume discounter and was treated very badly {but will not taint this review with that experience}. All I can say is, what a contrast. I still haven't finished going through all the samples I received from beauty habit, and think I will ultimately subscribe to their discovery club because living on a small island mid-pacific there is no way I would be able to try even a fraction of what they offer locally.. Prices are about average but the variety and quality of products they offer and the service is exceptional. I had a difficult time finding my way back to them as I have shopped at a number of online fragrance shops. They deserve to be better known. I think they are not as visible because they do not play games. You will not be tricked into a magazine subscription or shipping service (or lured to the site by false promises or people looking to skim). It is nice to not have to be on guard. When my package arrived it felt like a gift, and in fact, there were a lot of small gifts, and maybe for the first time ever, I received exactly what I asked for in samples. I have discovered a couple of new perfumes and a site which makes shopping with them a pleasant experience.I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a new perfume or cologne in particular, but really anyone who wants to be treated as a valued customer.
