purchased the Flair Elias Wooden Bed (Whitewash Oak) from Bed Kingdom for £329.99, and I am extremely disappointed with both the product quality and how my complaint has been handled.
The bed arrived in very poor condition. The wood was full of rough splinters and unfinished edges. The slats were badly finished, with wood fibres sticking out, making it look cheaply made and potentially unsafe.
Additionally, the pre-drilled holes contained leftover wood debris from the drilling process. Because of this, the screws would not fit properly and did not align as they should. We had to manually remove the excess wood from the holes ourselves just to be able to assemble the bed. The fittings were uneven and appeared to have been reworked during production, making the entire assembly process difficult and frustrating.
This is not simply dissatisfaction — it is a product of unacceptable quality.
I contacted Bed Kingdom and provided clear evidence, including numerous photos showing the defects. Despite this, instead of arranging a proper return, they offered me £33 to keep the bed, which I found completely unreasonable given the condition of the product.
I am still waiting for a proper resolution, and communication has been slow and unhelpful.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. The product quality does not reflect the price, and the after-sales service has been very disappointing.

Ideally Label all the parts with numbers on ‘post it ‘ notes to really speed up the assembly process otherwise it’s time consuming looking for the little stickers each time you want a part . Carry the separate parts upstairs as the full boxes are very heavy .
Careful with the stairs as the legs are flimsy and will break if the steps are pushed along an uneven floor. Advise to reinforce with ‘L’ brackets and move with caution. Lift or tilt the stairs when moving into place.
The popular pin system used is only strong when all parts are fixed so be careful not to put any pressure on parts during assembly.
Two people at crucial steps to keep the joints square when moving it around during construction. Have a few metal brackets available in case reinforcement is needed .
Careful to fix the four wooden runners all the same way up . These runners support the slats .
We purchased a bed from this company which turned out to be very low quality, not sturdy at all, legs were made of plastic and the picture was misleading as the headboard was a lot smaller (to the point where you could barely see it past pillows) and was a much darker colour (we purchased green for a splash of colour and the headboard is so dark that it looks black in some lights). On top of this, we purchased a mattress to come with the bed. This mattress was in no shape for anyone to sleep on. You could see every single coil spring, which meant you could feel every single one of them, deeming the mattress unsuitable for use. When we sent through a complaint straight away, they told us because we had put the bed together we were not entitled to a full discount. How are you meant to know if a bed is sturdy and how small the headboard looks until you have put it together? Further, they told us that it was our own fault for ordering a standard mattress as opposed to the superior one. Does that mean you should not be able to sleep on a standard mattress that was still over £100? Their customer service team was very unhelpful and unfortunately buying the bed has been nothing but a nightmare for us. We’ve lost our money because there was no way that we could sleep on it, and they would not provide a full refund. We’ve now seen other reviews stating the same on the same bed, with no solution. I would not advise purchasing from this company, it is not worth the headache.
Completely perfect experience! I purchased a bed and, after assembling it, discovered some damage on one of the panels. However, a quick email to the excellent support team resulted in a replacement panel being sent out, expected by Monday. They have been extremely helpful, quick to respond, and nothing appears to be too much trouble. Highly recommend. Thank you for your assistance!
The communication with the support team was satisfactory as I expected next day delivery, but the courier did not deliver, despite having received the mattress I ordered. However, the seller arranged for another courier to deliver, and I was pleased with the mattress.
Outstanding service! I needed a bed on short notice, and their next day delivery was beyond what I expected. Excellent communication and friendly delivery staff. Most importantly, the bed is of high quality and matches the description perfectly.
