I tried to cancel my subscription and I couldn’t cancel it and they kept trying to get the money on my account . Every 2-3 days I got an notification from the bank that they kept trying to get the money for the subscription that I already had canceled.
The final resume looks polished, credible, and well structured from the first glance. It immediately creates the impression of a well prepared and professional candidate who takes their application seriously.
Like the other poor reviews, my frustration lies within the billing and customer service.
After being assured on the phone that I would not be charged after cancelling during the trial period, I received 2 auto deductions in the following months.
"Customer service" hides behind T&Cs and offers no solutions beyond "we will send an email on your behalf." The email doesn't help and doesn't allow for further communication. Basically you are cut off from further attempts.

is a completely fake and untrustworthy service. They charge your card without your knowledge or permission. I only agreed to a small amount, and then they started taking more money from my card without any clear authorization.
Do NOT sign up and do NOT add your card details. Once they have your card information, they will keep charging you. Very disappointing and unacceptable behavior.
It's literally a scam. I cancelled the 7-day free trial, but auto updated to subscription. Then I went to the website again to cancel and delete the account, the website sneakingly download pdf to tell me that I purchased the pdf file. it's literally a scam. SHOULD BE BANNED!!

I contacted on the website through email, but it keep saying nonrefundable. I hope any major credit brands ban this company. I sent an email to this address too, but it says nonrefundable even though there is no activity except when I came back to cancel the subscription and delete the account after my trying to cancel the trial...
Writing resumes used to be painful and frustrating. With BetterCV, the process felt calm and smooth. Everything was guided, but not overwhelming. It made resume writing manageable even enjoyable.
Signed up for their subscription with the intention of advancing my writing for the resume. Something worked originally, but I want to stress out that they are just effective on the template design, not really about content improvements. At least NOT FOR ME.
Furthermore, after 5-6 days, they started charging, again, with very little acknowledgment from the 1st payment (wanna stress out the fact that the second charge came only after 5-6 days, so litterally it was a trick/fraud from the beginning)
And to end up things so tragically for me (and others), they designed a cancellation popup that mislead the users into clicking for the last payment bait (yes you are tricked, again).
I'm also working in tech, this way of user flow design is both misleading and very demeaning to the user experience. I have low hope of getting my money back, but still hope for others to look for better product(s) for this sort of service.

However, they then inform you that to avoid losing all your work, you must pay; a one-week subscription costs $1.95. After canceling, I was still charged an additional $8.50 for downloading the review, with unclear options for opting out. I cannot recommend this service.
