Biddulphs assisted me with relocating to the Netherlands. From start till end they were extremely professional, friendly and patient as they understand that the move is very stressful. They worked efficiently, even with the shortage of containers, and I received my goods in perfect condition. They are affordable when compared to other companies. I would highly recommend them just based on the staff and kind assistance. Additionally, the company they used in the Netherlands (Gerson Relocation) were just as helpful and patient. The relocation of my goods was the easiest task I had to do throughout the entire process of immigrating.
The collection team was on time and good. After that things went downhill fast. Having been told it would take 6-8 weeks to ship our goods it ended up taking 21 weeks. Updates were slow. One box and a bike rack never turned up and some goods were damaged. We had paid for insurance and filled in the claim form. Having been told our claim had been approved we are still waiting three months later for the settlement payment....it is 13 months since our goods were collected. Moving should not be like this.
We had our stuff moved from the UK to South Africa and could only verify all the boxes months later. Once verified, we have found 4 complete boxes are missing with expensive equipment in these boxes.Having gone back and forth with the Biddulphs representative this side, we keep getting told they are verifying with the Office in George. All boxes were properly numbered and recorded by the UK shipping company before leaving UK. On delivery in SA, the missing box numbers were shown on the delivery note as being delivered by Biddulphs in SA. Once we checked months later, as we could not move to the destination until later, we find 4 boxes non existent and get the run around from Biddulphs. Insurance claim is not possible as they cleverly only allow 7 days to claim. Who can check everything in 7 days anyway?They even kept asking us if we had another customers 5 boxes in our shipment, yet all our items were apparently marked as delivered with the count being correct. They would have found a discrepency if the process was properly done. Guess those boxes went elsewhere instead or were stolen. Either way, it's pointless dealing with a company who does not care for your goods.Thanks Biddulphs
Myself and my mother had our stuff moved by Biddulphs, her stuff went to Australia and my stuff to the uk. All my moms expensive silverware and a antique table never arrived in Australia. Some paintings and glassware was missing from my move. As both our belongings were stored due to covid, we couldn’t claim for missing/stolen stuff. Customer service stinks! Steer clear of this useless company!
We relocated from South Africa to UK and due to covid and the red list, our boxes arrived long before we were able to get to the UK which meant we were only able to check our contents much later. I later found that my very expensive pair or Jordan's were no where to be seen and were 100% there with the rest of my shoes at packing stage. I brought this this to Biddulphs attention and was told the window of time to raise a claim was passed to which I replied with understanding however covid delayed us getting here to check the boxes and regardless of whether or not we can claim im still very angry and disappointed that my shoes were gone. I was completely ignored after this and my next email was also completely ignored. Clearly they couldn't care less. So disappointed as the service I received in the beginning before the packing was great
We recently relocated and made use of Biddulphs (Johannesburg) to do our move. I was extreme impressed at the service we got from them, the team that were loading were very bright and early (before the due time even) to start loading, their service was quick and effective, and they handled every piece of furniture they loaded, with such care like it was one of their own. Even every employee at the office itself, was friendly and helpful and really went out of our way to assist in every special need that we had, to made the move as easy for as as possible.I am very impressed, as it is rare to find a company where everyone that you are in contact with, will go out of their way to give great service. I can just say WELL DONE BIDDULPHS!! And thank you so much!!

If you are looking to relocate internationally I can highly recommend them.
