This might just be the best hiking gear we've ever bought. It's super lightweight, making it convenient to take anywhere. Designed specifically for toddlers, it fits my son perfectly and boosts his confidence to keep trying. This is his first “real bike,” and we absolutely love it!
I made the cardinal sin of listening to other people say, "oh just get a cheap bike because your child will grow out of a good bike too quickly." So I found a good deal for a cheap bike and quickly discovered why it was so cheap. It was so heavy, came with a terrible front brake and coaster brakes. The tires leaked air, and worst of all, it was really really difficult to ride. My daughter still took it like a champ, giving it her best effort to learn how to ride her cheap bike. It was heartbreaking to watch her struggle with the heavy bike that didn't pedal very well. Finally, I realized that a child's first bike is probably the most important one because it helps give them the confidence to learn to ride. I did a TON of research and I was going to go with a Woom bike, but then I found the Biky! I chose the Biky over the Wood because it was lighter, the design looked very well thought out, and it did not have coaster brakes. I ordered it and it came in like two days. My daughter was so excited seeing this new bike. It came nearly completely assembled, so I installed the handlebars and left the pedals off. I let her use it as a balance bike inside the house and she was able to learn to balance in a single day! Now that she can balance, use the brakes, and turn on a dime, she's asking to go to the park with the pedals installed! I have zero complaints around the Biky bike. It should have been the first bike I ordered. If I had to be nitpicky, I do wish that there is a kickstand available to purchase.
I did a lot of research before choosing a bike and even asked ChatGPT for recommendations based on my son’s readiness, height, and weight — he was coming off a 4-pound balance bike. The Biky Air 16" came up repeatedly, and I’m so glad I went with it. When the bike arrived, my 5½-year-old learned to ride it in just 15 minutes! Now, three days later, he’s already maneuvering like a pro.The Biky Air is incredibly well-designed — lightweight, perfectly balanced, and ideal for smaller frames. It makes a huge difference compared to heavier bikes like Guardian, which can be harder for younger or lighter kids to control and start on. The Biky’s light aluminum frame and smooth handling give kids immediate confidence and independence.It’s truly a fabulous bike — beautifully made, easy to assemble, and absolutely worth every penny.
Wonderful bike!!!I purchased the Biky 16 for my soon to be 4 year old grandson after extensive research on the internet. Apparently I made the right decision as he was pedaling it the second day. I believe the design, geometry, and lightness contributed to his success. Really great bike. Thanks so much!
Our 3.5 year old loves the 16” BIKY bike! He learned a few months ago on the 14”, but when his cousin wanted to ride we sized up to last longer. He’s 103cm tall and has no issues with the 16” (although, it helped he learned on the 14” which was a similar height to his balance bike). He can ride the 16” Guardian as well, but it is significantly heavier and not as easy for him to handle. The Biky is worth the extra costs to get it so lightweight!
