We visited the branch and asked for a table for two, noticing several empty tables for four. Despite this, we waited about 10 minutes for a small table to be available. The restaurant wasn't busy, with more guests leaving and only one couple arriving. We placed our order without any issues, both choosing the Thai green curry with crispy cauliflower. My dish came quickly, but we had to inquire twice about my friend's order, resulting in me finishing mine first. The flavor was decent, but there was hardly any cauliflower—just two tiny pieces. It's unfortunate, as I usually enjoy the service.
We arrived at the local branch and requested a table for two, noticing several empty tables for four. However, we were made to wait around 10 minutes for a small table to become available. The place wasn't busy, with more guests leaving and only one couple arriving. Ordering went smoothly; we both chose the Thai green curry with crispy cauliflower. Mine arrived promptly, but we had to ask twice about my friend's meal, so I was almost done by the time hers came. The dish was okay, but there was barely any cauliflower—just two tiny pieces. It's disappointing, as I usually enjoy the service.
We visited this location during the holiday season and were somewhat let down. Considering the prices similar to those in London, more attention should be given to food and drinks. To top it off, they served espresso in cappuccino cups!
I had heard many praises for this place, so I decided to try it (Victoria). The staff were wonderful, but that's where the positives ended. The food was below average; I ordered a chicken shawarma that was disappointing. It came with a huge pile of salad, rubbery chicken smothered in sauce, and a rosemary flatbread with just one leaf of rosemary, all for £17. The children's meal was dry, only improved slightly by adding ketchup (which was served in faded and dirty bottles). The restrooms were in worse condition than other budget places. It ruined a lovely day out, so I paid and left, vowing never to return.
My friend and I visited just before Christmas and both enjoyed a garden plate that was delicious. Although my friend received the wrong coffee, the young waiter was very professional and quickly resolved the issue. I found him to be an excellent waiter. The restaurant we went to was in Reigate. I hope this young man receives some recognition!
I had a reservation for three at this location today, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. Despite booking ahead, my table was downgraded due to a cancellation. From the moment I arrived, I was reminded of a 1.5-hour time limit before even ordering a drink. I was initially seated upstairs, but the noise level was high and unsuitable for accessibility needs. When I requested to move to a different table, the staff seemed annoyed. Even while waiting for my guests, I was reminded of our time limit, adding unnecessary pressure. Once seated downstairs, the situation didn't improve. I was interrupted before finishing my starter to be informed about the main course arriving. The entire meal felt rushed and chaotic, with no staff intervention to address a baby crying at the next table. When dessert was mentioned, I was told another group was coming, further emphasizing our limited time. Ultimately, we declined dessert and left feeling unwelcome. When I tried to provide feedback, the staff member was defensive rather than receptive. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the poor service. Having enjoyed a great experience at another location, this visit was particularly disappointing. The service was hurried and lacked basic courtesy. The only positive was the drink, which, unfortunately, couldn't redeem the experience. I do not recommend this location!
I have dined here multiple times and always had a fantastic experience. However, today we both ordered steak, and it was so tough it was nearly inedible. I spoke to a waitress who seemed dismissive, making me feel as though they thought I was exaggerating for a freebie. There were no apologies, just one meal taken off the bill. I still enjoy dining here, but I will avoid ordering steak in the future, as another staff member mentioned they frequently receive complaints about that dish. It's clear that the staff could improve their customer service skills.
We booked a table for our work's Christmas dinner but were seated by the front door where it was cold, and the table was wobbly. The staff didn't seem particularly engaged, and it was challenging to get someone's attention. When the food arrived, it was lukewarm, and I struggled to find a staff member to address the issue. The team appeared stressed and overwhelmed. I won't be returning.
I went for an impromptu lunch today and was not impressed. The staff seemed short-handed, and the front of house was overwhelmed, having to juggle waiting tables and turning customers away. I ordered an aubergine and mozzarella bake, which was bland. It even had an aubergine stalk included, making it seem hastily prepared. The mozzarella chunks on top were cold and not properly heated. I won't be rushing back.
What went right during my visit? The service was terrible; we waited 30 minutes before being approached by the staff. The first thing they asked was if we were ready to order while we sat at an empty table without menus. The first bottle of Prosecco took 45 minutes to arrive and was poured into our glasses begrudgingly. It was clear the staff were not welcoming. After another 30 minutes, we ordered what they called food, and it took another 45 minutes for two tasteless salads and a chicken schnitzel to be delivered. The second bottle of Prosecco was carelessly dumped into a water-filled ice bucket. At that point, we were left to serve ourselves, and they even attempted to take my salad while I was still eating. This place is a joke; I would advise staying away.
