Rip off! Expensive and overcrowded so very long wait times.

Traveled from Scotland to come to the pleasure beach for my youngest birthday Tuesday 26th of July. Cost a small fortune to enter, 2 adults and 3 children. It was so packed we were there from 10.30am to 5 pm and only went on 5 rides each. Waited over a hour to get on the infusion, 55 minutes for the big one, 45 minutes for the steeplechase. 45 minutes for the avalanche. Even the little kiddy rides took ages to get on. You can buy a speedy pass per ride to get on quicker but that’s another £7-£10 each FOR ONE RIDE. Seems like they care more about making money than the customers. It was so overcrowded, I won’t be back. Definitely not worth it.

I was hoping to walk round with my son…

I was hoping to walk round with my son and family but was disgusted they wanted me to pay to ride £45 i dont do rides just wanted to spend the day with my family also on the day they went there was 100s of school trips so they only managed a few rides after paying all that money was disgusted they should close it to the public when all those school kids are going they must know from the bookings just a rip off

I used to love coming here

Firstly I have been going to the Pleasure Beach since i can remember and the past 30 years we visit at least 3 to 6 times a year. Always loved it. This year I ended up paying £143 approx for 2 adults, a 15 year old and an 11 year old. Got there to be told we have to use the phone to get on each ride which slowed down everything even more so after lunch time. As I'm diabetic I needed to eat I decided to treat everyone to a Burger King only to be told they don't now accept cash. The lady who took the order then had to cancel due to not having my wallet on me was very rude and her attitude was childish. We have to leave the park to find somewhere. Ended up at the velvet coaster. We got back in and the staff were extremely unhappy due to the phone use to get in and people complaining. Felt sorry for them to be honest with the grief they were getting. Eventually we wanted a drink as it was hot and surprise surprise you now have to buy a card to put money on to buy food and drinks. The lady accepted my money to buy a card but to buy food. Moronic. I have the card with a Tenner still on it.. Pointless. I wont be visiting again until things change for the better for the people who visit it.

RIP OFF

I would not try & go back onto the Pleasure Beach if I was paid. Just this wk end we decided to venture onto the Pleasure Beach to pay £5 just to walk round, we haven’t walked round since it was free. We were greeted with a lady telling us it’s £46, it’s absolutely disgusting! 😡 this is spoiling it, what about the people who go with grandparents, they don’t want to go on rides but have to pay £46 each just to take children on, if you go with a family of 3 you’re talking £212 everything is so expensive now in the current climate, how can you justify charging people over 12yr old £46 just to walk round if that’s all they want to do??? Can someone Explain? This could spoil the Pleasure Beach altogether it is just greed.

What a truly fantastic attraction

What a truly fantastic attraction. It has an incredible range of rides, both hi-tech and historic. An amazing array of roller coasters (of which Icon is the best, in my opinion). Some of the world's best dark rides. A great children's theme park (Nickelodeon Land). The food is much better than most theme parks, with a good choice, and some very nice eateries for a theme park (that would put many London venues to shame). Then there are the shows. The Hot Ice Show is the best and is a really uplifting experience and a genuinely spectacular production. There are also two really upmarket 4* hotels on site. I found the staff in all parts of the Pleasure Beach to be friendly and the queues to be shorter than at other theme parks. All in all, I could not fault this attraction.

TOTAL RIP OFF. never visit again.

What a complete rip off did not pay to go in, as enterance charge was extortion, took our grandson but refused to pay what they were asking, you had to pay the full price even if you did not go on anything, Remember the last time we went in about 20 years ago the place was free to enter and it had a fantastick atmosphere and thousands there not any more, think they have killed Blackpool as a resort.

Shocking that the park opens at 10 but…

Shocking that the park opens at 10 but none of the rides do. We were in 9:50 & the big one put a sign up that it wouldn’t open to 11am because they are behind with their checks 😡😡

By far the worst company to work for…

By far the worst company to work for not only do they not treat staff well they fail to train their staff on what the can and can not do for instance if someone was sent home and went for a drink but wasn’t supposed to was supposed to leave the premises straight away they should make that clear rather than saying we don’t need you in today you can go home they also do not like when you have time off due to your own health problems they complain about wanting to train you on other rides yet keep training you on the ride your signed off on it’s an absolute joke they also pay less than what their staff deserve

Honest Review of BPL Pleasure Beach...

I can talk about this park on two different fronts. For starters, from a consumer point of view the theme park isn't bad...I'd say the ticket prices are slightly extortionate for what you get. Some of the food isn't terribly priced either. There is a wide range of attractions from a simple arcade with a mix of modern and old fashioned machines as well as iconic rollercoasters such as the Icon and the Big One which I both absolutely loved. In terms of photographs, those are also quite extortionate AND some of the professional photographers have the same standard of work that I may have, and its just a hobby for me. Finally, there is the employment and other features within the park.DO NOT EVER WORK AT BLACKPOOL PLEASURE BEACH. Management is a complete mess.1. The wages they pay are extremely low so it can be understandable as to why they constantly have staff shortages.2. There isn't much staff benefit nor care whilst in work particularly for the Ice Rink.3. Most of the HR staff and the CEO herself have a terrible reputation. So it's a solid 2/5 for me. There are so many improvements that could be made yet this Park is still iconic and one of my favourites due to some of the brilliant rollercoasters and amusements.
