Nice. Fast, trustworthy. Everything went well. Well packed. True consolidation. Price is correct compare to other companies. but as client we are more proactive into the details of the command (it could be nice or not depending on what you want, for example, we have to do ourselves the tax registration, so it takes more times but we are more free to put whatever we want - at our own risk). So yeah, for the reception and shipping process it’s good.
I like that Blackship are one of few forwarding services that give you their address to use, as this is how I prefer to buy online on Japanese stores, as opposed to requesting items be bought by the proxy on my behalf.I also like that their receiving fee and usage of the address is very cheap.However, their processing time of sending over shipping quotes is much longer than other proxies that I use; I'm currently on day 4 (if we don't include the day I submitted the request or the weekend) of waiting for a quote, and I still haven't received anything.Also when given the initial postage quotes, prior to requesting actual ones, for seven trading cards from the same shop, their cheapest shipping method to the UK was $20/£15, because for whatever reason they don't want to use ePacket Light as a postage method. Usually when I purchase trading cards, postage varies around £5-£7.As I used this proxy as a last resort, I think I'll continue to use it as such, as opposed to my regular forwarding service. I cannot bring myself to spend £15 on postage for such small items, and I also cannot understand why they won't offer ePacket Light as an option, when nearly every other proxy does.Blackship does the job (albeit slowly), but it's costly. I wouldn't recommend using them regularly, only as a last resort.Edit: Changed this from 3 stars to 1 star after my last exchange with them. All they do is try to leech more money off of you just to do their job. What forwarding service has an 11 WORKING day delay in processing a singular shipping quote? Not even all the postage options, just 1 postage method! Can I also expect the package to be posted 11 working days after I pay as well? Will they then suggest another $5 "express" fee to just post your package, and in turn pay $10 extra just for them to do their job?

Recently, they switched all accounts to USD-only billing and no longer support other currencies.For non-US customers, this means additional exchange fees and worse rates, with no option to opt out or choose an alternative currency. While I understand business considerations, forcing USD on an international customer base clearly prioritizes US users and disadvantages everyone else.This change was implemented without meaningful choice and has made the service less fair and less attractive for international customers. Because of this, I’m moving back to a competitor that continues to support multi-currency payments.Very disappointing decision from a service I previously liked and recommended.23/02 this is still up to date.
