For many years, I bought work boots from a certain brand and loved them. However, they recently switched to a new model, and I'm not happy with the change. I've had to replace two pairs in just four months due to sole separation. Personally, I can't recommend this new style. Now I need to search for waterproof boots that likely won't be as comfortable.
I have been a long-time buyer of work boots, specifically the Craftsman version, which were fantastic. However, they have now switched to a new style, the Saucier Chelsea 2, and I’m not sure why. I've had to replace two pairs in just four months due to sole separation. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this new design. Now, I'm left searching for waterproof boots that likely won’t offer the same comfort.
I've purchased boots for my kids over the years, but unfortunately, they don’t hold up. They advertise them as '4 season boots,' but they barely last one season. The soles wear down quickly, and the lining tears easily. They may perform well in the snow initially, but they become slippery and ineffective thereafter. There was even an issue with sizing when I bought multiple pairs on sale, leading to an unsatisfactory customer service experience. Honestly, you're better off with cheaper options that you can replace each season.
I ordered a size up in some gumboots for outdoor work, but they were way too tight around the legs and too loose around the foot, causing my heel to rub uncomfortably. I tried them on with shorts and socks, but I need to wear long pants for work, which wouldn't fit in the boots because of the tightness. I'm petite with small legs, and they were incredibly uncomfortable, digging into my feet. I only tried them at home and definitely wouldn't be able to work in them. I ended up returning them.
I truly love my boots! I bought the Crandall II Mid Gumboots for my daily walks across frosty fields and creeks on my property. My feet stay dry and warm, the grip is excellent, and I appreciate the thoughtful design features like a groove at the ankle for ease of wear. I occasionally apply WD40 to the zip to keep it functioning smoothly. Highly recommended!
I faced issues with my credit card not being accepted; I emailed the support team about the website problem but received an unhelpful response. I tried calling but could only leave a message. Is this even a legitimate business? I left a message, but based on my experience so far, I doubt I’ll get a response.
I attempted to place an order on the website, but encountered an error with my credit card. After multiple attempts with no success, I learned that both orders had cleared my account. I spoke with a representative who claimed to be in charge, but he was unhelpful and blamed my bank instead of addressing the issue. I've read similar complaints from other customers. I was initially interested in trying the boots, but I can't support a company that treats customers poorly. In the end, I had to file a fraud complaint with my bank to get my money back.
I was apprehensive about buying boots online due to my wide feet, but I trusted the reviews and decided to go for it. Within minutes of receiving them, I was already taking photos to share with family and friends. I ordered a size 9 and worried about the fit, but they fit perfectly with thin cotton socks—firm yet comfortable. If you're looking for a floppy wellie, you might need to adjust your sizing. I adore them and can't wait to test them out on my dog walk!
