When will these big companies realise customers especially old folk do not like self service payment tills, I hate them especially when there are no alternative, I would rather drive another five miles to a different store than use one of those. And the pharmacy never answer their phone ever.

Once a trustworthy pharmacy, now disappointing

My local chemist has become increasingly frustrating. It used to be reliable with a committed staff, but now it feels like everything has deteriorated. I used to receive timely updates on prescriptions, but now it’s unpredictable. Often, they have my prescriptions but take an excessive amount of time to prepare them. I've arrived after being told they're ready, only to find only part of my prescription. The management of the service is disappointing, and staff often suggest returning the next day without acknowledging the inconvenience of my trip. This morning I was told everything was ready, but later I was told I must have misunderstood. It’s disheartening to see some staff members being obstructive and unhelpful. This pharmacy has fallen from grace.

Incompetent staff at the chemist...

The chemist is plagued by unhelpful and incompetent staff. A few years ago, it was known for its reliable and dedicated pharmacy team, but that has drastically changed. I used to receive consistent updates on my prescriptions, but now it’s often unpredictable. They frequently have my prescriptions but take weeks to prepare them for collection. I've gone in after being informed they're ready, only to find only part of my prescription available. It's incredibly frustrating, especially after making a costly trip. This morning I was told everything was ready, but later I was told I must have misunderstood. Some staff members are simply obstructive and unhelpful. This used to be a good pharmacy; now it’s just awful.

Unpleasant experience with staff

I had to replace my reading glasses after they broke, despite my careful handling. I was met with an aggressive attitude from the manager, who initially refused to assist me even with the receipt in hand. After a lengthy delay and consulting others, my glasses were finally exchanged. This was a very unpleasant shopping experience, highlighting the company's true quality when issues arise.

Prescription issues and poor communication

A prescription for high blood pressure was sent by my doctor on the 19th of December. When I went to collect it on the 27th, I was informed it wasn’t available and to return later. After another visit that afternoon, I was told it might be in on Monday or I could contact a health service. Why wasn’t I notified earlier? This could have allowed me to seek alternative medication or a different pharmacy.

Rude customer service experience

While waiting at the checkout, there were no staff available on the shop floor. I moved to the pharmacy queue and was rudely informed that a staff member would assist the six waiting customers as soon as possible. There was no need for the rudeness or the raised voice. This experience has led me to switch to a different pharmacy for better service.

Disappointing experience with dental prescriptions

I went to get a dental prescription filled but was charged despite being over 60 and usually exempt. When I questioned the charge, the staff member became defensive and wanted to involve a manager. I advise avoiding this chemist for anything outside routine prescriptions. Additionally, I had to wait 15 minutes even though there were no other customers.
