Great service. This is my second time I sell Buyback Boss an iPhone. They made and paid me a competitive offer. I was emailed a prepaid mailing label. Shipping was easy and their evaluation and final offer was quick. I had questions about the payment offer and they quickly responded and paid me via EFT in a prompt manner. I would definitely do business with them again.
It's the old saying of, "bait & switch"!
I was told that my I-phone 15 pro was valued at $511, if it's in flawless, mint condition. My phone was in that condition, it appeared like it was the day I bought it!
Flawless, mint tucks you into a tiny catagory.
Having selected that, they think, "we have to find something." So they sent me a picture of a phone, ( was it mine? I don't know) with a blurry smudge mark on my screen, claiming that it was caused by a black spot on my camera lens. I declined their next 2 offers and asked to have it sent back. They did.
I immediately went to my local Apple store and asked about that claim. Not only was their "black spot" claim unproven but Apple offered me $400! That was on top of their first offer of $145, the next was $219 and the third was $245; their final!!
I will deal with another company that will not scam me. Thank you!!
It’s a classic case of "bait & switch"! I was informed that my phone was valued at $511, provided it was in flawless condition. My phone looked brand new! However, they sent me a picture of a device with a blurry mark on the screen, claiming it was due to a black spot on the camera lens. I rejected their subsequent offers and requested my phone back. When I consulted with a local store, their claim was unsubstantiated, and I was offered $400! Their initial offers were $145, $219, and $245, with the last being the final offer! I will choose another company that treats customers fairly. Thank you!
If possible, I would rate them zero stars. I did not receive payment for the phone I sent. They confirmed receipt, but after weeks of waiting for payment, I only received an invalid gift card. Customer service claimed it was out of their hands. It seems illegal to issue an invalid gift card. Do not send your items; you may never see your money again. I've sold devices for years without issues until now.
I will update this as the process continues! I will never use them again. They initially offered much better prices than others, but then they undercut and misrepresented my devices. I took photos before shipping; my devices were in perfect condition. They claimed my speaker didn’t work and that my phone didn’t charge properly. I proved otherwise with photos. They also exaggerated the condition of my watch. Overall, they deducted over $200 from the original quote. I rejected their new offer and requested my devices back. I advise everyone to document their device conditions before shipping.
From my experience, you will not receive the quoted amount. I sent a new phone, but they claimed it had scratches. Thankfully, I took pictures for evidence. It’s a quick way to make money from an unused phone, but I wasn’t satisfied with the service.
I received an online estimate of $70 for my phone. After shipping it, they offered me $18, claiming it was damaged. I requested proof of the damage, but the photo they sent wasn’t of my phone. I ultimately accepted a lower offer of $30. My advice is to document your phone’s condition before sending it to any buyback service.
