Online ordering experience was frustrating

I wish I had checked the online ratings before trusting them with a holiday delivery. I placed and paid for an order, but it was tied to my client’s name. This morning, I received a cancellation notice without any explanation. When I called for clarification, I was informed they couldn’t discuss it with me due to the name link, despite me being the purchaser. I was advised to send an email instead. This situation has put me in a tough spot during a busy time of year, scrambling for alternatives. If online ordering is offered, it should come with effective customer support. Overall, this experience was disappointing and unproductive.

Order unexpectedly canceled

My order was canceled just as the driver arrived for pickup, with no explanation given. I had to go to the store, pay again, and then initiate a refund. This adds to the frustration of frequently receiving the wrong items. I’m planning to uninstall the app.

Discriminatory practices at the store

As someone in my 70s without a smartphone, I shop for myself and others, spending a significant amount monthly. At my recent visit, I was informed that I couldn't access a special offer due to not having an app. This feels discriminatory, and I refuse to purchase a new phone for discounts. I had several items ready to buy but left after receiving that response, ultimately spending much less. I’ve decided to shop elsewhere, where customers are treated with respect.

Questionable pricing practices

The local store consistently has higher prices compared to nearby competitors. For instance, a bottle of wine was significantly more expensive than at other retailers. This difference is quite substantial. Delivery from other stores is more reliable and affordable. It seems like the pricing strategy leaves much to be desired.

Significant price hike in one week

I was charged $52 for 24 beers last week, but this week it jumped to $60. As a pensioner, this sudden increase feels quite unfair.

Staff could use better training

During my visit, I found the staff to be unhelpful and rude. I inquired about a wine I had previously purchased, and the response was dismissive. It felt like I was bothering them for simply asking a question. This store may be suitable if you know exactly what you want, but don't expect assistance.
