Review Time
My car was damaged when being recovered by them. Large dent on front of car. They did not inform me of damage and then my keys went "missing" for several days. I went to pick car up from my garage after several days and saw the damage. Took six weeks to investigate the claim. The keys were miraculously found at the last minute ! They refused to replace the keys until they had investigated at first even though their recovery agent had lost them. Offered to fix damage on car after six weeks by towing to a town 30 miles away. Car was drivable. I phoned them and they said they were just checking if I was "amenable" to this even though they told me it was final decision letter ! Eventually fixed locally with a company car for me. Do not use these guys. Start rescue use their services. The customer service team were friendly and polite / helpful but any problems the claims dept are not and just want rid of you
All staff including mechanics were lovely and helpful. Too a bit longer than the estimated to arrive but then again, I was at home so my case lacked urgency, so was to be expected and I didn't mind too much. Was also a Saturday. Car was towed away the next working day to the dealership that I always get my services done, Monday and was fixed! For an unpleasant circumstance, I'm very happy with how it was all handled. :)
I wouldn't waste your time with this company as its a sham.They told me i wasn't covered in France and would have to make my own plans to sort out my breakdown of my car. I sorted everything myself and a week later when at home got a call from them telling me they had made a mistake and i should have been covered.They told me to claim for car hire and taxis.So i did and after 2 weeks of emails they have told me they won't pay 85% of the claim.There is no point in wasting your time with Ping insurance and call assist. I will revert to the AA as their european policy has always been great.
I had very good experience with call assist . According their time schedule they came on time , explained about fault & sort it out too . Also he recommended for what next I need to do follow up . That was very quick & satisfactory service I received. Thank you .
I recently purchased a car from Motorpoint with added warranty to the vehicle. We had an issue with the car so we rang the dealer who put us onto Call Assist. They sent out a mechanic to determine a fault on the car. After this I was advised from Call assist to find my own local garage to fix the car. Then after it was fixed I would to get back in touch to see if the warranty would cover the cost. After doing this I was later told by the warranty company that I shouldn’t have got the car fixed as I should have used a garage to which they refer to. I made a complaint to Call Assist also I asked for a reimbursement of the costs as if we were advised properly then we would have got costs covered through the warranty cover. Call Assist have admitted fault however they are not taking the complaint further as they have stated it is the customers responsibility to know which local garage to use. I feel I have been totally mis advised. The experience has been very stressful and it has put me and my husband under financial strain.
I contacted customer service as the breakdown was in Carlisle. My son was driving and the person I spoke to was extremely helpful and explained that it is the car not the driver that is covered. I subsequently used the app to confirm breakdown etc. The whole experience was really stress free and I was kept up to date with all aspects of my car.
