A cautionary tale about vendor professionalism:
Today I had a scheduled demo with CallHippo for business phone systems. I provided detailed requirements upfront: 2-user setup, customer support features, auto IVRS, international calling capabilities.
At the exact meeting time, I received a cancellation stating my "domain doesn't align with their ideal customer profile."
Here's the issue: Professional companies qualify leads BEFORE confirming meetings, not at the scheduled start time.
This experience reminded me of an important principle: How a company treats you during the sales process is the BEST version of their service you'll ever see. It only gets worse from there.
For fellow business owners evaluating phone systems: There are many excellent alternatives that respect your time - RingCentral, Nextiva, Vonage, 8x8, and others.
Professionalism matters. Time matters. Choose vendors accordingly.

Very disappointing experience with CallHippo. The representative made promises that were not delivered and later tried to upsell and squeeze more money for basic functionality that should have been included from the start. The service is unreliable, and communication is unclear. Would not recommend.
I’ve had a really poor experience with CallHippo. The call quality has always been bad — my clients constantly complain that they can’t hear me properly. The sound is muffled, there’s lag, and the voice often cuts out. I can hear the other side fine, but they can’t hear me clearly.I travel frequently and have tried using CallHippo in different countries, but the problem is the same everywhere. It’s definitely not a one-off issue. I’ve used CallHippo before through another company I worked for, and it was the same story back then too.I’ve finally decided to cancel my subscription because I’m honestly fed up. Very disappointed overall — the service quality has been consistently awful.
I've been having issues with software since I signed up for it. It doesn't work well with Hubspot CRM. Tech support takes over 6 hours to response to my email and it's been 3 days and issue still not resolved. Don't sign up for it. They don't even want to refund the money.
Literally tried for a full week to reach 1 human being at this company to ask a technical question before purchasing and nobody got back to me. If I can't get a response when I'm trying to give them money, I definitely won't get a response when I need help. I can provide a log of all meeting requests I made using their demo request form, and a log of all emails sent to them, as well as a record of no response sent to me from them. No doubt the company will respond to this saying I should email them so I will just get ahead of that now: THEY. DON'T. RESPOND. TO. EMAILS. SENT. TO. THOSE. ADDRESSES. NO. MATTER. WHAT. THEY. SAY. When the company responds to this post saying to email them, call their bluff. Go ahead and send an inquiry and see if they respond. They won't. If they won't pay attention to you before you give them money, they won't pay attention to you after they have your money.
Trustpilot should have a rating for 0 star.I tried to activate the free trial but encountered an error, so I contacted their sales team. The response I received was:“Thank you for showing interest in our product! Unfortunately, after reviewing your account, we have determined that it does not meet the eligibility requirements for sign-up. Our system has identified an error associated with the domain of your account.”This vague explanation didn’t address the issue at all. It became clear that their sales support is outsourced and, more importantly, lacks the technical knowledge to provide meaningful assistance. The reply I received came marked on 1 AM IST just minutes after I sent my message at 4 PM EST; which shows a lack of proper investigation before sending a generic reply. To make matters worse, instead of taking feedback seriously, they flagged my original review for containing defamation content? Just because I mentioned that it was outsourced and that I received reply timestamped in India Standard Time? This only reinforces the impression that they’re more interested in suppressing criticism than actually helping customers.Disappointing experience overall and unfortunately, very much in line with the other negative reviews I’ve now seen.
Terrible Company! Charged my card twice and took weeks to approve my phone number yet after 3 weeks they disabled the accounts saying my account was flagged by automatic system no refund at all. Totally waste of time and money even i asked for refund no response at all! so stay away there's much better options available than this scam
