Disappointing Experience with the Product

After expressing enthusiasm for the products from the promotions, I received a colouring book and a set of brush pens as a gift. Unfortunately, the orange pen ran out shortly after use, and the pink pen was completely non-functional. I reached out to the company to report the problem, but since the pen set had been discontinued, they offered only a partial refund or a discount voucher for another set. I was dissatisfied with this resolution, as I expected a fully functional set without needing to spend more. It felt presumptuous of the company to assume I would want to purchase again after my initial disappointment. We requested a replacement of the original pens or a similar set at no cost, but they declined. I’m frustrated and let down that my gift is of such poor quality, and I can’t use all the colors as anticipated. The customer service has been inadequate; I wouldn’t recommend this company, as their support seems lacking when issues arise.

Very disappointed and annoyed!

After raving about Calm Over Chaos products from their promotions, I was given the Let’s Be Better Humans colouring book and a set of brush pens for Christmas. Unfortunately the orange pen ran out after a couple of minutes and the pink pen did not work at all! We contacted Calm Over Chaos to report the issue and because the pack of pens had been discontinued, they offered either a partial refund or a discount voucher to buy one of their other pen sets. I wasn’t happy with this as expected to have a full set of working pens as described without spending additional money. It was cheeky of Calm Over Chaos to presume I’d want to purchase again considering I wasn’t happy with the first order! So we said that if they couldn’t replace the original pens then they should replace with a similar set free of charge. They refused.I’m upset and disappointed that my Christmas gift is sub standard, and that I can’t enjoy using all of the colours as expected. Calm Over Chaos customer service has been rubbish, I wouldn’t recommend - if something goes wrong they don’t care!

The glitter pens are lovely but don't last

The glitter pens are lovely, really sparkly and vibrant. I have marked down though as the yellow Leo colour has run out of ink already, so I assume the other colours will too. For £13.99 a pack and then postage on top it's disappointing that the pens don't last. They really are lovely pens but I won't buy again because of the shortness of life. I only opened the pack 2 days ago and have not used for large areas.

Constellation Glitter Pens

I received the Constellation Glitter Pens for christmas. They're really sparkly, smooth and vivid - very satisfying to use. I did recieve two Virgos (greeny-yellow) and no Leo (the warmer yellow), but luckily I love the colour!I do agree with other reviews that it can sometimes be hard to tell the colours apart, and that the lids can be fiddly, BUT the quality of the actual pen tips and ink is better than any other glitter pens I've ever used. Overall I'm incredibly happy with them - they make colouring-in an absolute dream!

Increased my rating!

I’ve increased my rating because although I found the pens not very glittery, now I have been using them they are a joy to use. They are very pigmented and the fact they are so blendable is a bonus. They don’t leave streaks but blend really well. There is also no smell. So if you don’t mind about the glitter, go for it! Also be aware the books are quite small

Excellent quality

It’s been a while since I’ve ordered anything for myself from this small business. Recently I’ve been needing to practice self care so decided to jump into colouring again after hitting a reading slump. This time I ordered the magic bleed proof edition of Becoming My Best Self, constellation pens and 24 markers. My order arrived within 48 hours of ordering and I’m very happy with my purchase. The constellation pens are gorgeous, they shine like diamonds and I’m in love. I’ve got a temperamental yellow glitter pen but these things happen and I can still use it. Not worth complaining about as you can get dud pens from any business you buy from. The paper in this edition really is bleed proof and paper is an excellent quality. Pricey yes but as with a lot of places that use ethical and sustainable products this is expected. The paper is thick and the pens glide beautifully on the pages. The books are illustrated by the founder of calm over chaos and she has worked hard looking for new ways to improve her business and source planet friendly products. This is my first bleed proof edition and obviously overall I’m impressed. The messages in these books are so heartfelt and reflective and can become your best friend. There are some quotes in the books that sometimes you just need to hear to help get you through the day and they’re just beautiful.

Cult-ish with unrealistic ideations

I have purchased every product from COC, and i love 90% of them. When i say something on the community page, it is like a cult! the post gets deleted, and you face the wrath of the admins. The 'chosen ones' to run the page - which is toxic, because god forbid if you say anything negative, you'll get sworn at, called 'nasty' and then get ignored when you ask questions. It is unrealistic for customers to absolutely loved EVERY product from a company, and that is okay. The way you're spoken to is no fault of Millies, but I do believe that if you can see what is going on, see the way people are spoken to, and know that not every customer likes EVERY product and that that it's okay to say you don't like something, but you do nothing about it, then that needs to be addressed. It is unrealistic as some people on their treat the community like it's a cult, and it's toxic. That is what it feels like.

Amazing company, fantastic customer service

What a beautiful business....I ordered some glitter pens and they were posted out immediately but when they got to me the envelope had been slit open and was empty. The company immediately sent me another set and I was so grateful. The pens are gorgeous but the ethos behind this business is very special, lovely people, lovely products....we need more businesses like this. They deserve the moon (a beautifully coloured glittery one). Thank you.

⭐ 2 Star Review – The Day I Became the Villain Because of Pastel Pens ⭐

⭐ 1They say every villain has an origin story. Mine began with a pack of pastel pens. ✨🖊️💀 I bought them innocently — naïve, hopeful, soft-hearted. I thought I was stepping into my colour-coded, ADHD-friendly era, the kind where everything is neat, aligned, gentle… But little did I know… this was the day the universe forged a darker version of me. 🌑🔥 I opened the pack, expecting creamy, dreamy pastel perfection. What I got? Colours so faint they could only be seen by angels 👼 Lines so weak they trembled like they were afraid of the page 😭 One pen literally wrote half a stroke and died in my hands — like a soldier whispering its final words ⚰️ And that was the moment something inside me snapped. 💥 I contacted customer service, expecting mercy. But mercy is for the weak. 😈 They responded with: “Prove it.” 🫠 A single command. A spark. The match that lit the fire. 🔥 So I went out — cloak billowing in the wind, theme music swelling 🎶🖤 — and bought a second pack with my OWN money, because apparently I was destined to become the Sherlock Holmes of stationery 🕵️‍♀️💸 Pack #2 worked beautifully. 🌈 Of course it did. The contrast between the two packs? Shakespeare could never. 🎭 So I returned, evidence in hand, ready to restore justice ⚖️. All I wanted was a new swatch sheet — because I have ADHD and my brain needs things neat, lined up, symmetrical, calm 🗂️✏️. After buying an extra pack AND paying postage, the LEAST they could give me was a fresh sheet of paper. 📄 But no. ❌ They denied me. Coldly. Effortlessly. Villainously. 🫠💀 “No.” That was it. That was the moment the heavens darkened 🌩️, the music shifted 🎻, and the camera zoomed dramatically into my eyes 👁️. I didn’t choose the villain life. The villain life was forced upon me by a pack of ghost-inked pens 👻 and customer service agents who would rather swallow their own keyboards than hand over a swatching sheet ⌨️💔. Now I stand here: Two packs deep 📦📦 One pack a tragic relic 🪦 One pack a reminder of what could have been 💔 My faith in humanity shattered like an iPhone screen 📱💥 If you’re considering buying these pens, turn back now. This is your warning ⚠️ Your prophecy 🔮 Your sign ✨ These pens may be pastel, but the betrayal they carry is dark, ancient, and unforgettable 🖤🕯️💀 Buy wisely, dear reader. For I did not survive this saga untouched. 🩸📖 — The Swatch Sorceress
