This bank is a disgrace and shouldn't be in business. They are incompetent, their advisors are rude, arrogant and lazy, their app doesn't work and every transaction takes days longer than it should. I have closed my account and moved to CA which is a breath of fresh air. Shame on HSBC for selling their business to CCF. I guess HSBC is just another business who does not understand how badly this type of thing affects their brand. Your sell the business and don't give a damn about the subsequent bad experiences being suffered by your previous customers. It's not your responsibility anymore. Well, I for one, will never buy another HSBC product ever again
Impossible to access my a/c on line as CCF don't recognise my password and block my account then they send a temporary password in the post I create a new password and again it's not recognised. I need to get access on line and to date it has proved impossible
I would give zero stars if it was an optionI have lived in 7 countries during my long career - the UK, Africa, the Middle East, the Far East, USA, Canada and finally France. In all that time I have never encountered a more incompetent, impolite, unprofessional business, let alone a bank.First, the invisible changeover from HSBC was anything but with my pensions from the UK and North America being stopped because of a change in financial institutions that they had not been informed of.When I finally received my new Visa card I had similar experiences as other people’s comments on this site - one gas station didn't accept it and several online sites refused.Ccf then took 3 months to process a cheque to me from Canada. During all of that time I was never contacted by my "advisor" once. Any attempt to contact him found me rerouted to an assistant and telephone calls booked on their app never took place. Finally they told me that the money had been deposited to someone else with the same name as me - in fact the person's name was similar but not even exactly the same! When I finally got to see my "advisor" he agreed to refund one year of bank charges (144€) as a commercial gesture. When they subsequently deposited 10 times this amount (1440€) and I advised them by email, I never even received a thank-you response for my honesty. I am in the process of changing banks.Do not trust your financial affairs or your money to this bunch of buffoons. Incredible!
Horrible. Run. Close your bank account. There's nothing there but a bunch of incompetent, unwilling to help awful bankers. AND IT COSTS THE SAME AS HSBC- which is a lot but at least there were some advantages. CCF has nothing. I hope they go bankrupt and pay me back for every service I pay for but am still waiting to have performed.
Absolutely the worst bank I have ever experienced I was HSBC customer for 12 years in France and they sold France consumer to CCFJan 01 2024Every month since then the service is increasingly worse. They have done harm to me financially as wellI dont recommend even my worst enemies to this bankMaybe Donald dump trump owns this bank???
My account was transferred from HSBC France to CCF and the experience has been woeful.Particularly, money transfers to sepa accounts are very slow, it takes at least a day and longer if weekends etc.I am not sure if this is standard in France, but I am used to instant transfers from living in the UK.Even worse, I can see money has left my account but there is no tracking, no way to see what time the transaction occurred etc. or if it is pending / successful. I am looking for a new bank for France. Unfortunately some institutions in France require French bank accounts.
As a former HSBC client, I tend to agree with the other commenters here. Banking at CCF can easily bring you back to the 90s. Even the most simple, most rapid transfers take up multipe days to send/receive, money is lingering in the pipelijes and according to the customer service, the priority is not to lose (!) money during the transpition phase from HSBC to CCF. Speaking of, 3 months after the transition, the bank offices still half HSBC, half CCF branded. Opening hours are inaccurately displayed. Poor service in general.
So I sent a cheque from the UK to my account with HSBC France at the beginning of December. It arrived, according to La Post, in early February! Another story. CCF confirmed it had arrived but it has still not been credited to my account! (19th March) How does a bank get away with that? It's a refund of overpaid French tax so not likely to bounce. I've contacted them numerous times and after the confirmation in which they said it would take 12 'working' days to clear. 12? WHAT? Well that was nearly 6 weeks ago. Perhaps the problem is that they don't work. They certainly don't contact me anymore. My advice - don't use this bank - RUN!
