This is the worst banking experience I have had in my life. As an expat who lived abroad for over 10 years, I have accounts in HSBC in different countries. Then HSBC France became CCF...I received some messages in my account messenger that I didn't see because I don't check the app unless I need it. I was asked in September to update some personal information. In December, I wanted to open a new bank card, contacted the bank, and I was told that "our bank has decided to terminate the banking relationship" and that one letter was on its way to my address abroad. Trying to get an appointment takes ages, the customer service on the phone is just saying to contact your advisor via the app messenger, who's reply is slow and looks like a simple template. No mention about the money on the account. Stay away from this scam...
I was transferred to CCF from HSBC. It's nearly impossible to get your account manager on the phone, and their response times are generally slow. What really convinced me to close my account was that I had a fraudulent transaction that cost me 2500 euro in which the perpetrator sent me messages from within the bank app, and the IT department decided that that was somehow my fault and refused to reimburse me.
Awful. I don’t have enough bad adjectives to describe them. Their password 'security' is criminally bad: it's a numeric user name and...deep breath...numeric password. I cannot state how insecure this is, and shows: how poor their security thinking is; how old their tech stack must be, because *nobody* in 2024 would make this decision. I've requested to close my account, which is likely to be as joyful as slamming my fingers in a door.
This bank is the worse I have ever experienced. CCF send a new bank card this summer and we have still not received the PIN number. It’s been 5 months. Endless messages to my advisor Said D have resulted in nothing happening. They charge monthly fees yet we have no use of the new CCF card with out the PIN number. The old HSBC PIN number does not work. Many changes are needed for quality control quality assurance there.
Substandard security to prevent theft via fraudulent transactions. Request for refund was met with a 4 to 8 week investigation period.As the thefts were small balance (I suspect I was being "Carded"), I opted to close account. This process was met with the singularly most distasteful experience I have ever had with a bank.From beginning to end, account closure took almost 4 weeks to accomplish.Account Counselor was unhelpful and in some instances determinedly obstructive.Stay away from this bank.
Couldn't access my account for first 2 months. They charge you for every time you need to resolve any issue, even if their fault. Trying to close account, they still want more money and it has been taking more than 4 weeks and it's still not closed! This is not a real banque.
Although not involving large sums I have asked for my case to be put before a bank mediator. They have never apologised for their dysfunctional apps and lack of response . The phone lines operate like a scam bank charging you by the minute whilst they keep you on hold. They act with complete impunity, never accept any responsibility for their appalling service and expect the customer to cover the entire cost of their faulty systems.
This bank is a horror movie, for months trying to close the account, after having no access to my account or digital bank, when I finally managed to convey that i wanted to close it, my consellier, WILLY CORDOVA (the most negligent in that bank). Sent all my funds, around 30K euros to another account, which was not even under my name. I have been the past two weeks trying to retrieve my funds, which are still missing. This is the most horrible experience, and after multiple messages an email, no answer.
Probably the worst bank in the world. It should not be allowed to run a bank with such poor service. So I have $200,000 stuck there, the transfer system requires SMS verification, which does not work. The app tells you to call a number that charges you fees per minute and on top of that no one picks up the phone after 45 mins.
