It is not every day when one buys a flat, let alone their first flat - and given how bureacratic the UK system is one always needs good guidance to navigate things through. Especially with so many parties involved (Peabody, solicitors, banks, insurance etc). David and Mercedes from Censeo made my life much easier by distilling all the info for me and helping to secure a very good mortgage deal. The rules for financial eligibility are so strangely written so they leave a very narrow window to fit in but David helped me make sense of all these rules and build a strong applications based on my circumstances. My only caveat is that the income protection insurance info was not very straightforward and I was left under impression for some time that it is obligatory while it is not. But now I have it nevertheless and am still not sure whether I need it or not.
I was advised by the housing association to contact this company to do an assessment for a mortgage. I done this over a week and a half ago and even though I emailed them a week ago with no response. I called them today to ask for an update only to be told I have not met the criteria. I then asked can they advise why and was promised an email to explain why. As I should have expected no email was ever sent. The company makes you apply for your own credit report that you need to send this to them. This as well as completing pages and pages of documents only to be fobbed off with no decency to give you an email or a phone call to advise you. They have a app that you can apparently track the application but this has been the same all the time and no updates. I feel its pretty poor of a company that offers a financial service where you have to share your financial details with and an full export of your credit file not to keep you updated with the progress or if you were unsuccessful. I have started to think this was a scam as I have not heard anything and is still very concerned that my personal financial details were shared with no communication at all. I would avoid this company all together as the hassles and stress they will cause you is not worth it.
