If you are middle eastern, or fly to the Middle East, DO NOT TAKE CHEAPOAIR. I was on a business trip, and the Iran War started. EL AL is doing emergency flights out of TLV airport, and if you already have a flight out, they will automatically rebook you to an alternative emergency flight out from your location to your destination.
However, CHEAPOAIR did not know this. So they cancelled my flight.
This is a life endangered mistake by CHEAPOAIR because they are not aware of EL AL flight policy.
EL AL could have automatically rebooked me on an alternative flight.
But they were not able to because CHEAPOAIR did not know their policy, so when I called them to understand what the policy was regarding the situation, they told me my only option was to cancel the flight.
THEY WERE WRONG. My family could have flied out on the next emergency flight out of the Middle East.
Customer service couldn’t handle the situation and it’s been 5 hours since this problem has started and they still haven’t even processed the refund.
This is the most incompetent travel agency out there, they don’t know airline policy, and honestly, I should have gotten the hint from the name.
DO NOT BOOK WITH CHEAPOAIR.
This is by far the most incompetent travel agency, and they can put your family in harms way.
Poor booking experience and almost 50% more expensive. if you're travelling via easyjet, bets option is to book directly through easyjet website or app rather than booking through any tarvel agents like cheapoair or similar ones. also Uber app now allows to book flights directly from their app much cheaper and convenient.
Saved a bit buying with cheapoair but it wasn't worth it. Had an issue where I there was 2 letters that were swapped in my name by accident and they charged me $30 for the adjustment.
Bare in mind, if I called the airline my self to make the adjustments it would've been free. But they never told me until it was too late and when I asked they lied and said I would be charged.
If you book the flight with these guys don't call them for any services, and get everything you want yourself or you'll end up paying their service fees which they make sound like is part of the airlines.
Very bad service. My man cancelled his flight immediately after booking because we realized there is no checked back added. After cancellation it’s taking almost 2months to refund the money, when you call them, they will put you on hold for over 30 min so you can give up. Till date over 1k dollars not refunded and can’t even reach them. Please don’t use cheapOair for your own good
This is the worst experience I've ever had. I strongly advise against booking with this company; they are deceitful and show no concern for customers as long as they receive their payment. We ended up spending $3000 on tickets just to return home. We were stranded in Toronto for a night, forced to sleep in the airport, and had to wait until the next day to get back home. Despite our calls and emails, we received no response. We urgently need a refund.
I bought a ticket to Paris with two stops in Iceland, but my return was unexpectedly canceled. I had to return the next day, which caused me to miss an important job interview. I reached out to the airline for a refund, but they directed me to the service where I bought the ticket. Unfortunately, they refused to issue any refund! This has been a very disappointing experience, and I will no longer use this service.
My husband arranged my flight for Saturday, December 6th from Denver to Las Vegas through a service. It was a one-way ticket so I could pick up my elderly mother. The booking included a paid fee for a carry-on, which was confirmed by customer service multiple times. However, when I reached the gate, my boarding pass indicated 'no carry-on,' and I was unexpectedly charged a $99 fee at the gate. I had no choice but to pay, as I was alone and couldn't send my carry-on back with my husband. While I was in the air, my husband contacted customer service, and the representative insisted the charge was due to my bag being oversized or overweight. I've sent photos of my receipt, my bag fitting within the size checker at the airport, and my boarding pass showing 'no carry-on' multiple times, only to be told my bag exceeded the size limit. I even asked airline employees in Las Vegas to weigh my carry-on, but several gate agents informed me they do not weigh them. A representative I spoke to claimed that the carry-on fee was never paid by the service, despite my payment confirmation. I have requested a refund for the fee numerous times from different customer service representatives, who often tell me no supervisors are available and promise to call back the next day, only for me to receive calls when I'm at work and unable to answer. These representatives struggle with English and seem unable to understand the details I provide, which raises concerns about their practices. Overall, I'm very disappointed. This service is unreliable, and I will inform fellow travelers to avoid it.
I was charged a $39.00 cancellation fee due to confusion about a nearby destination that I didn't wish to travel to. I called within a minute of realizing the mistake, but it felt like a scam. Additionally, their customer service continues to bombard me with calls and emails relentlessly.
I had a very negative experience with the service. I booked my ticket as Economy Value, but without my consent or any notification, they changed it to Economy Basic, which has no baggage allowance and more restrictions. I was never informed about this change. I discovered it only when I checked my booking myself. When I contacted customer support, they acknowledged it was a mistake on their part and mentioned they needed to reach out to the airline for clarification. Since then, I've been hearing the same excuse for over a month — 'we are waiting for the airline to respond.' With my travel date just 25 days away, they keep telling me to wait another week with no updates. This issue was not my fault, yet I am the one suffering — wasting countless hours on calls, constantly following up, and facing ongoing uncertainty. What makes it worse is that if I hadn't checked my ticket myself, I would have discovered this at the airport, potentially causing me to miss my flight or incur extra costs. Such careless handling is unacceptable. Additionally, I suffer from significant anxiety, and this situation has been extremely stressful—entirely due to the service’s mistake and lack of accountability. Furthermore, they are not refunding the additional amount I paid for Economy Value, despite downgrading my ticket to Economy Basic. This feels incredibly unfair and frustrating. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've encountered. The service made the error, but instead of rectifying it, they are prolonging the issue, leaving the customer feeling stressed and powerless. I strongly advise against booking with them. Terrible service.
