Charged me 0.50 pence for what was meant to be a one time charge , then they just kept taking money out of my account randomly aswell , this has happened on multiple occasions, I have disputed the transaction but unless you want to be charged for subscription you haven’t used or signed up for , I would NOT recommend using this website !
SCAM. Advised by my mechanic I could check MOT free online. So went to this site. It said 99p, agreed. Got no more information without paying more, so stopped. Now had £7.99 taken. Looked at sight again and it talks about trial period! Which I did not sign up for! Have sent email. Sure I’ll get NO reply. Contacting my bank.
Be very careful with Checkmot. This website is a shameful scam. I got tricked into paying for a subscription of £14.99 and then £7.99 before the free trial of .50p expired??!!! I’ve contacted customer services and they’ve not comeback. I have been shafted and would not recommend this company to anybody. Dena Blakeman
Put me on a monthly plan without realising. They made it a nightmare for me to unsubscribe once I realised months later. Also the mot information they had on my vechile wasn’t up to date so the service wasn’t working either way. AVOID!
I agreed to a one off payment for an mot check. Not sure why I bothered; you can get all this information for free on government sites. Anyway I did, but they automatically signed me up to a monthly subscription service without permission or communicating it to me. It is then impossible to find a way to cancel it via the website, even when logged in. I’ve emailed 3 times and still no response, only charges (+interest) against a credit card i no longer use. How these companies get away with it, I’ll never know! Infuriating!
