Review Time
I got the subscription for my birthday. I have had Chococo chocolates before - they are very nice. There are a couple things with the online store that I wish could change though - the main one being I wish it was possible to buy boxes of single chocolates through the website (it is possible to do this in-store which is FAB!), and also being able to make-up a box online (e.g of just a couple flavours).The chocolates themselves are very good. Of course these things are always personal taste, but to me there are some real winners (e.g the old thumper, the blackcurrent), and some that are ok but not spectacular (for my taste, I wish some of the flavours were stronger - e.g the rose and the passion fruit (Lauden is still #1 for me for a passion fruit chocolate). Overall though, if you're looking for a good balanced box of chocolates with some interesting flavours, that is from a UK chocolate company, I would reccomend these guys. Too early to say on service around the subscription specifically, but delivery etc all ok. Some issues with product selection as noted above.
I ordered a Chococo biscuit cake for my mum's birthday, which I am pleased to report was every bit as delicious as the last one we tried; melt in the mouth, full of crunchy biscuit pieces, plenty of juicy dried fruit and very very moreish. However, this one did appear a lot smaller - and flatter - than the one I ordered a few birthdays ago. My mum agreed with this, but said she didn't mind. I really hope that if the cake's size has been reduced, then the price will reflect this. At the moment, it still remains the same.
Myself and some friends visited the store in Exeter last weekend. The staff were friendly and really helpful. The milkshakes are to die for. The layout and seating area in the shop is very comfortable. I am looking forward to meeting a whole group of friends there this coming weekend.
