THE SCAM:

At pick-up (daytime): I recorded a 360° video showing ALL pre-existing damage including scratches. Staff assured me the video would protect me.
At return (evening, garage, artificial light + flashlight): Different staff claimed I caused a scratch CLEARLY VISIBLE in my pick-up video. When shown the video, they refused to acknowledge it claiming "different lighting."
They exploited my flight urgency to pressure me into signing quickly.

THIS IS A COORDINATED FRAUD SCHEME:

Pick-up staff assure you videos protect you (so you don't insist damage be noted)
Damage deliberately not marked officially
Returns scheduled in different lighting (evening, garage, flashlight vs daytime)
Staff refuse video evidence using absurd "lighting" excuse
Exploit flight pressure for quick signatures

I HAVE VIDEO PROOF the scratch existed at pick-up. They charge me anyway.

Scam alert! Confirmed booking D013038219 denied at the desk by Ciao Rent Car. No car provided, no refund, and customer support is ghosting me. I have already filed complaints with ECC and initiated a bank chargeback.

AVOID EVEN IF THEY WERE TO PAY YOU!!!The staff's behavior was appalling and beyond imagination. I was subjected to verbal abuse and physical threats.The treatment I received from these individuals is unacceptable in a civilized society. Only people completely lacking in basic culture and integrity would resort to threats, insults, and deliberate fraud. This behavior demonstrates a total lack of professional standards and basic human decency. These individuals rely solely on aggression and intimidation rather than reason or law. Their actions are profoundly antisocial and have no place in a professional environment.AVOID EVEN IF THEY WERE TO PAY YOU!!!

Unsafe and unprofessional rental…

Unsafe and unprofessional rental company. The car provided was in unacceptable condition, with front tires worn almost to the limit. The fuel level was falsely stated as “full” while it was clearly not.The handover was rushed and careless. When I refused to accept the unsafe vehicle and asked for a replacement, staff attempted to charge an unjustified winter tire fee.The interior was dirty, staff behavior was rude and aggressive, and customer safety was clearly not a priority. This company appears focused on upselling rather than providing roadworthy vehicles. Avoid.

Bad faith business—and they know it

Bad faith business. I rent cars dozens of times a year. Their advertised price does not include MANDATORY fees that will be added upon pick up. Car chains are mandatory (half of the year) AND not included in the price. The surprise cost added to my bill upon pick was THREE TIMES MORE PER DAY compared to advertised. My booking voucher explicitly said "Pay at pick up:0.00 EUR" and yet I paid three times more than my prepayment. They know exactly what they are doing.Can't wait for the drop for surprise fees (they hinted at a mandatory clean up fee).This will be escalated, reported, and claimed back (rented at one of Milan's locations).

AVOID AND DON'T BELIEVE POSITIVE REVIEWS. I was charged €130 for two small marks, less than 2 mm each, on the right rear door. Plus €60 for a technical stop, the time it takes to repair the car. Then €20 for cleaning the car, even though they told me it would be €15. In total, €256 extra, including VAT. The guy was very rude, insulted me, and then started recording me. We had a heated argument, but I was respectful throughout. He claimed I called him a pig, which isn't true. Don't be tempted by low prices like I was. I rented the car through Do You Italy

Rented car broke down- no refund for taxi

Rented car broke down, happens, no hard feelings. Guy from the company said to come to the office to get next car, taxi will be refunded after sending invoice to headquarters in Milan. I did as it was planned. But after sending invoice for the taxi after coming back to Poland- full silence, no refund, no apologies, no nothing. Shame. Avoid this company!!

They didn't have shuttle bus although…

They didn't have shuttle bus although included in the services I hired. Needed to walk with a 3years old and 3 luggages all the way from the airport. A week later, when returning the car, they had same proble, no shuttle bus and no solution. I complained and they threated me to charge me cleaning services. I requested the complain form compulsory to have in all companies and they told me they don't have (more clients and the workers of the other company in same office witnessed it), after my insistance the worker at counter told me he could give me a rive quickly to the airport.They also had different returned time in their documents and wanted to charge me and extra.
