I had an excellent experience with ClearSale. The verification process was fast, secure, and very well handled. Communication was clear throughout, and the service showed a high level of professionalism and efficiency. It’s clear they care about providing strong security without unnecessary friction. Definitely a reliable, top-tier solution. Five stars.

Service is absolutely horrible. Asked to cancel some orders from cover and I was lied to about how many orders was 'not identified' but I showed them clearly we have been charged for them. And then we went on for about a full month of me asking for information of how the charged was calculated and everytime they try and send the document the link was broken, the request was blocked or some issue was happening where I cannot get access to the document. This is really starting to become a scam and hiding behind poor customer service will still charging me $2-3,000 every month. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE
I had a great experience with ClearSale. The process was smooth, transparent, and fast, and everything worked exactly as expected. Their fraud prevention checks were efficient and didn’t create unnecessary friction, which is something I really value as a customer. It’s reassuring to see a company that balances security and user experience so well. Overall, very reliable and professional service. Highly recommended.
Would vote -1 star.I requested a cancellation of my account as after a solid year using them, I paid well over £1,000 and for nothing. I tried asking for them to reduce the % of the sale for the insurance, but they said no. December I requested a cancellation of my account - 30days notice later, they are still access shopify backend (No idea how) nad invoicing me for months past the 30day notice period.Refusing to pay them, they instantly sent a debt collector to deal with this. They can speak very good English, until you have a problem (Brazilliant, so natively Portguese speaking).Their response time was in the weeks not days, but instructing a debt collector was hours. This company does not give a damn about it's customers, they just want you to pay as much money as possible, in return they will provide a false promise to help if you get a charge back... remember, it's insurance, they will riggle out of paying a penny!Would avoid this company run by bandits like the plague. You've been warned.UPDATE SINSE RESPONSE: We have reached out and we’ve heard absolutely nothing back! This again is a total wash over to demonstrate the company is competent in customer service to new prospective customers.I’m in a community with atleast 10 others who have moved away from clearsale due to lack of customer service. This is an insurance policy, you keep paying and expect to be able to contact them when needed… you can’t. What’s worse I’ve got more suspicious paying customers from customers in the states delivering to London postcodes since quitting clearsale (on lower priced items!)I strongly believe it is clearsale proving they are a service worth having. These orders were not fulfilled as they couldn’t provide the coded name on the credit card statement for our store.
Unhelpful, terrible support - and they’re gaming the trustpilot system… they used to have 2.2/5 stars but somehow are 4/5 now? Something is fishy here. They don’t provide anything better than Shopify and you can’t get money out of insurance claims. Terrible experience.
I am not one to leave many reviews, but this deserves a special effort. I used Clear Sales for my online shopify store for a bit over a year. We sell lower volume, but higher priced items. We are not based in the USA, and although we had fraud detection with shopify, we did not have any cover if there was a fraudulent transaction. So we engaged with Clear Sale to offer they insurance we needed.During the time, we were charged a few times for transaction that were not covered by Clear sales (eg paypal and BNPL providers). We constantly had to check our monthly reports as we had no faith in being charged for only the transactions that Clear Sale offered their fraud detection services for..In July 2023, we decided to remove the app as we had no charge backs and the app was more trouble than it was worth..So why write this review.. well that comes down to December 2024 (Some 18months later) and i received an email stating we owe $2.41 (yes $2.41) and threatened debt collectors. This was the first time i had received any correspondence from Clear Sale about this, and they had my credit card on file, i was auto-debited every month. So i logged on to review the invoice, however all i can view is a description stating "Invoice related to transactions for July 2023".So I email Clear Sale with my concern and asking for more info on the amount and a summary of my transactions for the period and other periods to ensure all the incorrectly charged amounts were credited.A week later (today) i get another email from the same person saying that they haven't heard from me and today is the last day to negotiate (before debt collectors). At this point, all I can do it actively warn people against this company as they have shown incompetence throughout my time with them, and now 18 month last.. all for $2.41 which i am more than happy to pay when i see what i am charged for.As for the service, sure they offered the same detection as shopify, with the added insurance if fraud eventuated, but as we never had or made any claims, i cant comment on the claims process.. Final words - Check your transactions every statement- Find a more competent provider
Expensive. Useless support. Protection fails when you need it most (and you don't find out until after the fact). Laborious Processes. Support has no ownership or accountability with issues. Poor systems & integrations that don't work. I was a customer for 3 years and gave consistent feedback on these issues when requested. Nothing ever changed. I canceled my account 1 year ago, and explicitly asked for these periodic outcomeless survey requests to stop. Yet here we are again... isn't this a CAN-SPAM violation??
