Excellent service with a polite and professional manner. Paisley got me a 95% mortgage and Amy saw me through to completion. They were both a pleasure and delight to deal with and were really on the ball, always willing to take the time to call me back and answer any questions i had. Highly recommended
I am reluctant to give a 1star review because eventually I did complete on my purchase.However, CLS caused so much stress I would never use again nor recommend them, I very nearly lost both the house I was in and the house I was purchasing. They were aware from the outset that I had a deadline and many promises of being able to adhere to that deadline were completely false.I never thought I’d say it but thank god Covid hit because if it hadn’t I’m sure I would be facing homelessness.I don’t believe they placed my mortgage with the right company and would not show me what other deals were available for me to compare to.Considering they charge for every point of your application, I would have expected more choice and actually, more courtesy from them.Communication was poor and disjointed throughout and they do not respond to complaints either, they turn it around to everyone’s fault but themselves and considering the old adage of the ‘customer is always right’, I was always wrong in my complaints! When you pay for a service, you do expect a level of courtesy, this was always lacking.In the end they failed to let the lender know I was looking to complete, my solicitor (who was excellent) and myself who got the process going to get to completion.Very pushy after completion to use their ‘chargeable’ mortgage protection advisory service, saying it was a condition of my mortgage to use them, I asked for proof, received none and it went quiet.Don’t use if you’re in a hurry (which is why I went with them as that’s what they promised!) and be aware you will not get value for money.Won’t use at remortgage time.
