Checkout frustration after a quick visit

The hygienist appointment was satisfactory, but the checkout process left a bad impression. The receptionist unexpectedly added £20 for an airflow treatment I did not agree to. The hygienist tried to explain that I had opted for it previously and assumed I wanted it again. This was quite frustrating, especially after already paying £72 for the visit. Assumptions should not imply consent; I hope the team receives better training.

Unexpected additional charges

A wonderful dental practice

I go to a wonderful dental practice in Rodney Road, Cheltenham. After a traumatic experience at a previous dentist, I was nervous about returning, but this practice has been fantastic. From the friendly and efficient receptionists to the calming treatment with a professional who explains everything, I feel at ease. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else and highly recommend this practice.

Amazing care at Yeovil Dental Clinic

I recently had a hygienist appointment at Yeovil Dental Clinic with a wonderful professional who provided gentle care and excellent advice. I learned that I was brushing too hard, which was causing gum recession. The scale and polish treatment was effective yet gentle, and I appreciated the thorough explanations throughout the process. The entire practice was friendly, welcoming, and clean. Thank you for the amazing care!

Frustrating experience with delays

I attended a dental practice for my daughter’s appointment and arrived 30 minutes early, only to find out the dentist was running 35 minutes late. They mentioned the doctor was busy, which was irrelevant to me as a patient. Overbooking and extending other patients' appointments is unfair. It undermines the purpose of having an appointment system. Now they suggest I come back another day, but I worry it will happen again. I will be filing a formal complaint.

Communication issues with the branch

I would like to provide feedback, but the branch is unresponsive. This is my fifth attempt to reach them while being number one in the queue, yet no one answers. I have not received any replies to my online form or emails either.

Not suitable for anxious patients

This review is for a dental practice in Swadlincote. If you are anxious or have a needle phobia, I strongly advise against this surgery. Over the past year, I encountered poor communication, even during a time when the practice knew my wife was undergoing cancer treatment. Despite voicing my concerns about their approach, they seemed indifferent. Promises made by staff were not followed through, leading to disappointment. The dentist appeared more focused on profits than patient care, and I was not adequately informed about procedures until it was too late. The treatment was painful, and I had to be sedated for removal. Their outdated methods for treating needle phobias were concerning. Overall, this practice has caused significant stress and anxiety.

Positive experiences with dental care

I have had positive experiences at two different practices. One was for general dental care, and the other was for an emergency while I was in a different area. The service and care were excellent. I often feel nervous visiting the dentist, but the teams at both locations were friendly and kind, which helped me feel at ease.

Unfair charges for seniors

I felt compelled to write this review regarding my husband’s experience at a dental practice. He was misled into paying an extra £35 for an airflow clean on top of a standard £75 charge. This brought the total to £110, which seems excessive for a senior citizen. We paid, but he will not be returning for future appointments.

Lack of consideration for patients

I was unwell with the flu and made the effort to call a day prior to reschedule my appointment, but they refused to waive the deposit for a late cancellation. I understand the rules, but exceptions should be made for circumstances beyond the patient's control. I ended up keeping the appointment, but I was coughing throughout the procedure. This lack of consideration is disappointing, and I would not recommend this practice.
