We purchased our Cool Cabana in Dec 2024, we used the product for one summer and were excited to again enjoy its use this December in 2025. Just after new year (the product is just over one year old) we were at a local beach in Victoria, the cabana was set up correctly, the peg in the correct position and sandbags full as instructed. A small wind gust came through, the cabana pole bent and the top half snapped. My husband had to catch the cabana from collapsing on our 4 year old underneath.
We were pretty shocked and I had read the sustainability goals of the company. I thought ok these freak events can happen surely after just one year, theyll replace the part?
Long story short, the top half of the pole cannot be replaced (so be warned about this before purchasing). In addition the head of customer service (Henry) has no genuine customer service skills, his emails were rude and accusing. He offered me $70 off a new RRP $270 cabana and I quote said technically we owe you $0 as the fault was actually caused by us and outside the one year warranty period. I would never purchase this product again, people should be careful as this company offers no genuine customer service when accidents happen, no replaceable parts and no genuine discount for us to repurchase. We have a beach tent from Bunnings it cost us $150 and has lasted 7 years, I also know Bunnings offer genuine customer service when something happens with their product.
I have owned my product for several years now, and aside from absolutely loving it, I am especially pleased with the customer support team. I encountered a few issues due to strong winds and general wear and tear. The replacement items were sent promptly and arrived the very next day, which was astonishing (I am located in Brisbane, so that might explain the quick delivery). I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and the assistance I received. I highly recommend this service and appreciate the outstanding support!
I purchased a medium item as a Christmas gift for my daughter and her family, hoping it would enhance their beach outings, especially since we've seen similar items in New Jersey. Unfortunately, the only available pattern was pineapples, which I later realized carries an unintended connotation in today's society. Since the design is scattered randomly, it became an unsuitable gift for a family. I wanted to swap it for a different pattern, but the company does not allow exchanges. My only choice was to pay a $50 return fee to send it back, making this a costly error on my part.
We placed an order for a Cabana on November 18th and just received an email today, December 4th. The message stated, “We apologize for the delays in your order. Currently, we expect most items to be delivered within the next 1-2 weeks. We are aware of the issues caused by our logistics partners. If your item does not arrive by then, we will refund or resend it, as we have been informed that all orders should reach customers by that time. Thank you for your understanding.”
My son and family had one of the Cool Cabana tents so I already knew how fabulous the product was. Their customer service is also 5 star. I needed help to purchase 1 tent and send to MA and a 2nd one to send to Tampa (50% off) which was their summer sale. I emailed the company and within 30 minutes had instructions on how to make this happen. Outstanding service!
