Scanmers. I have key cover from my car insurer. They said they wouldnt cover. The reason is must be something happened. Such as i smashed my key dropped in to the water etc. I told them thats what happened. Then they said no. SCAMMERS.

So phoned up this morning as i am at my girlfriends and lost car key they tild me i now have to wait for someone to call me as they need to check with 1st central im covered i said would it be today she replied i dont know nit vwry good service considering i lost keys they could just call 1st central instant and confirm shows on google account as benjamin thomaw but my name is christopher i use my sons email
This key cover is honestly pointless. The policy wording is vague on purpose, and they rely on hidden conditions to avoid paying out. Even with the original keys that came with the ca, they still find excuses not to cover anything. In the end, the cover is a complete waste of money justa money grab.

This key cover is a complete scam. The odds of a successful claim are close to zero. The policy wording is vague by design, and they rely on hidden conditions to wriggle out of paying. Keys bought after you purchase the car? Not covered. No invoice for programming? Claim denied — even if you used your own coding machine or had a friend help. In reality, nobody in those cases would ever have an invoice. The result: genuine claims get dismissed, leaving the cover totally useless. It’s nothing more than a money grab.Update : it wasn't resolved to my satisfaction at all.
Aaron on the out of hours line is a top tier employee. Called him after a crash, and he was friendly, professional and a delight to deal with. Was able to get all the details sorted and have a laugh with him whilst doing so. 100% should be given all the bonuses, pay rises and promotions he is eligible for as he is a boon to the company.
