Dissatisfied with the service and ongoing charges

I signed up for a one-time credit report and immediately canceled my membership. However, the service continued to charge me monthly. I had to report my card as lost to escape this situation. There seems to be no other option available.

Difficulties with account cancellation

I created an account in 2023 to obtain a credit score for a loan. There were no outstanding balances or transactions after the first one. I could access all my information on their website. However, they were not willing to cancel my account without requiring me to conduct another credit report and send them hard copies of my information. It’s ironic that they claim to prioritize strict control over personal data while allowing sensitive information to remain vulnerable in unused accounts for years.

Terrible experience with the service

I would suggest avoiding this service entirely, but being in the U.S. makes it feel like you're compelled to engage with this awful provider. I set up an account to freeze my credit, which I managed to do. However, when I tried to log in again, my credentials weren't recognized. I was given an alternative login method that also failed. When I called for assistance, I encountered a robotic system that misunderstood most of my requests. I opted to speak with a representative, but the call was abruptly disconnected, leaving me in a chat instead. The representative provided a link that didn’t work, and when I pointed this out, they blamed my browser. Even after trying different browsers as instructed, the issue persisted, and they refused to help unless I could access the webpage. They suggested I call the same number I initially called (which was unhelpful and disconnected me). I never resolved my issue, and I had no problems with the other two credit agencies. It's ridiculous that this company is allowed to operate and wield such influence over people.

There is a significant discrepancy of 50 points between the scores provided by different agencies, which is quite frustrating.

Extremely dissatisfied with the service

If I could rate this company with zero stars or even negative ten thousand, I would. They are truly the worst. They should be banned from the Customers Protection Agency. The support team appears poorly trained, and every time I call, they seem clueless about my issue. I find myself repeating my entire story multiple times. When I inquire about the status of my case, all I receive is a vague response to be patient. They promised resolution within 30 days, but my issue lingered for 60 days without resolution. Each time I call, I get no updates or escalation options. I can’t imagine any bank relying on their inadequate services. The management is to blame for their poor offerings and lack of customer care.

Issues with account access

I registered on their site to correct some erroneous information on my credit report. However, when I attempted to log in using my password, it was not accepted. I then tried the secret question option, but that didn’t work either. There seems to be a significant glitch.

Personal data breach issues

My personal data, including my phone number, was stolen. I couldn’t freeze my credit account as I had forgotten my login credentials. While trying to access my previous account, I was repeatedly prompted to send an access code to my stolen phone number. I had no opportunity to update my contact information to receive the code. As a result, my data remains at risk. Thankfully, I could set a fraud alert with another agency, but the processes to rectify identity theft seem designed to hinder recovery.
