Review Time
For the conveyancing side of our house purchase, we did, for practical reasons, ignore a golden rule in this. We accepted the selling agents recommendation of Core Legal, meaning that, for that reason of practicality, we knowingly sacrificed the traditional practice of the purchase and sale side being completely independent of each other. In the event, we award a middle ranking 3 star here, simply because our experience with Core Legal was not awful enough to warrant a 1, and not brilliant enough to warrant a 5. Our impression is that this is not your traditional, personal attention, high street conveyancing solicitor. Rather, this feels more like mass production conveyancing. The disadvantage of which is that there is less of the one-to-one personal attention with an experienced solicitor who has many conveyancing miles on the clock. Whilst the advantage of which appears to be perhaps lower cost of fee. Perhaps as a direct consequence, we do have to say that there were some boo-boos along the way by Core Legal, none of which would normally be expected from the traditional high street solicitor. So, all in all, we feel a 3 star is fair. A special mention though for Zoe Walker, who only came in right at the end, but, who, impressed us greatly, with her ability to overcome hurdles, and get the job done,
Unfortunately our experience was not good. Very inefficient, it took more then 6 months, everything last minute and even to late, pointing to the solicitor from the others (however they had everything ready). A lot of unnecessary stress, hassle and much more extra costs. We had to work with Matthew Dickenson
Katherine dealt with the legal side of securing our mortgage. She was extremely diligent and detailed, yet speedy with the delivery of the excellent results that she promised. We definitely were not disappointed. Her communication was clear, timely and thorough. She explained complicated terms to me and my Husband in a way that way accessible (which was truly appreciated given that we were first time buyers with no idea of the inner workings of the legalities of buying a home!). We are extremely satisfied with the support and service we received from Core Legal (and particularly Katherine!) as this enabled us to make informed choices that best met our needs. We cannot recommend enough.

Awful awful awful, very straight forward sale no chain and still managed to make a complete mess of it despite saying 12-16 week completionNever available, they ignore you, lie about contact with other parties, forget to do searches, repeat paperwork and send everyone round in circlesCost our buyers nearly 12k in additional rental payments as they managed to drag it out for 11 months and gave a different reason to everyone each time for the delaysThey may be a bit cheaper than any other firm but it is honestly not worth the stress and delays caused Apparently they are well know for being very poor, wish we’d have known this before agreeing via estate agent to use them!
I can’t remember how many times I remortgage my properties. Never have experience like this!!! SUPERB Tiffany Daniels was always when we need her. The same day responding to the emails, phone calls. Always nice to talk to. All extra tasks (even 3 weeks after remortgage) was done in two minutes. I’m now scare how my next remortgage will look like if she’s not there.
