Got charged 100£ more than agreed on compare site. They don't call, only use email to communicate. They won't care if your process is taking longer than usual. Had to contact my agent to help me find out what was happening on the other side. I would not recommend them.
If I could give minus 5 stars I would. I work in the industry so am aware of timescales and expectations of service levels. This company made buying a house the most stressful experience of my life. Emails and phone not returned, items not done. I was chased for documents I had already given them multiple times. Summarised by the day of completion getting a phone call at 8pm telling me I had completed, saying are you moved? Just don’t use them, pay double or triple anywhere else it will be worth it. Most shocking company I have ever used. 18 months after sale, I’m still having to complain as land registry not been informed of purchase. Just don’t do it!
Avoid Sally Hare & DawnAvoid, poor communication and very slow service, misleading information passed onto vendors solicitors. I have multiple times in the past tried contacting them, this is the last straw for me, every time I try getting in touch I get forwarded to a voicemail. On initial application my assigned solicitor was changed which meant I had to submit all my paperwork again. However I did have problems with buyer of my property and he changed solicitors so it did mean Legal Core had to do additional work to change paperwork, then buyers dropped out which meant a new buyer came onboard, never the less seem like they are overburden by the amount of cases they have taken on. When I complained initially I was told the newly assigned solicitor has 65 cases to deal with. I had to call and pester my solicitors on initially send out draft contract, also a Tree Preservation Order came up on my property, Legal Core couldn't deal with the enquiry and the buyer solicitor gave up and contacted the council by bypassing my solicitors. The new buyer solicitors did their work in a matter of days which was very impressive. My main concern is there is very slow correspondence and very slow and inadequate service. I last contacted them on Thursday 1st September, it is now 7th September haven't had a reply back nor had my calls returned after leaving several voicemails. Ever so often anyone dealing with my case seems to be on holiday.There where also scenarios where my solicitors would say they have sent documents across to buyers solicitors or were going send across information but nothing went over to Vendors or Buyers Solicitors.Every time I complain to the receptionist I am getting forwarded to voicemail and no one is calling back they take my number and details and say someone will respond but never get a callback.Failed to spot issues with Boundaries, now I'm in a boundary dispute with my neighbour. I am in the process of suing them.
You can never get hold of anyone without chasing dozens on time, and when they need something, the representatives are rude and expect you to be sat there waiting unless you want the property to be delayed further! In addition, taking paperwork to their offices in Wakefield, they made you felt like you'd done something wrong even though they specifically requested it.....And then, after completion, I had a query on land ownership and trying to get hold of anyone, once Core Legal is paid, is beyond a joke! It also turned out some legal land registry documents hadn't even been provided.Wouldn't recommend from my experience but I'm sure it's just as bad elsewhere.
Don't believe the 5 star reviews, worst solicitors ever, no accountability, impossible to even know who is handling your case, will never call you back, 0 updates, utterly unprofessional. Date is ongoing majority of the year for a first time buyer with a vendor prepared to break chain so you can move in straight away. Solicitors having long holidays, unexpected further time off... the list goes on. AVOID.
