One star is too much. I can't quite decide what the balance of apathy and incompetence should be as it changes every time I call. The person dealing with my case was always 'on the phone / tied up / on annual leave'. Even their out-of-office replies have spelling mistakes. Avoid.
I used Core Legal Solicitors for my first house remortgage. Everything done on time and on the date chosen by me. Good communication and fast replies to my emails - I asked a lot of questions due to my limited knowledge about the remortgage process and their responses helped to decrease my level of stress. Fast and efficient, they were proactive in getting things done- because of this we were able to complete on time despite delays on the seller’s side.I rang a couple of times aswell and always had a response and guidance thanks to Nicole and Mathew. The only improvement I would suggest is that for first time buyers, they should have an initial call to lay out expectations so that buyers know what to expect from this process- on the other hand, watching youtube videos helped understand what they do and that the delays are always from 3rd parties.
