Ordered fridge freezer with door reversal. Arrived Sunday 23rd Nov, crew had no idea it was a door reversal service as well as the system only said installation however once I showed them the confirmation email showing I paid for the door reversal they did the door reversal, this is where it all went wrong. He struggled to complete the job, said it didn’t have holes so got his drill out and drilled holes, said it wasn’t sealing, made adjustments and then said it was fine (all whilst complaining how late this was making him). Later that evening I noticed the door was not sealing correctly, I opened the door and it was very unsure wobbling around. I called first thing Monday morning to request it to be fixed, the first guy I spoke to was very rude and said earliest appointment was Friday 28th which was just not good enough as I could buy the fridge freezer again for next day delivery! Hung up and called again and spoke to someone else who was very helpful and polite, he was able to book repair for Tuesday 25th, excellent! Crew came Tuesday 25th and we’re gobsmacked at the state of the door reversal work and said it’s completely ruined and needs replacing. Told me to ring customer service to arrange the replacement, I rang but they couldn’t help me as the crew had not put any notes on the system saying it needed replacing. Eventually I got told the replacement has been approved however the delivery date is 30th Nov! Absolutely not happy having to wait so long and be so inconvenienced due to poor service. I have no faith in the replacement being delivered and door reversed correctly. This was an expensive purchase and I’m really unhappy with the experience and the lack of empathy from Currys. Will not be buying from Curry’s again. Edit to add I have now cancelled this order and am awaiting them to collect their broken fridge freezer and refund me in full. Will avoid currys in future
The phone support is horrendous! One person tells you 1 thing and then another person will tell you another Sent our TV off 3 times for repair and each time it came back not working, so had to be booked in for another repair. They only agreed to an exchange after I asked to speak to head office
