I don't typically leave reviews, but I'm astonished at the negativity here. I daily drive Cursor. I prefer it to Claude Code & Codex. I almost never have issues. I've been on the ultra plan for months. If you're a dev. Cursor is for you. Plain and simple.

Increase the price and no notification. No email no pop up. And remove the limit warning so that the user thought they might have more to use but then there's none and they'll have to pay on the go. What a genius idea. Student verification never worked. When you ask for customer support or manual check they just close the case. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Coding often goes wrong if we want to switch to another model mid way through a conversation as context are not shared. We never get half of what's advertised. This is such a scam.

Dear reader,

I want to inform you about the scam behind this service.
The 'free trial' is running out faster than you think which is understandable, so they don't run out of money while ppl trying out their SW. At this point you have 2 choices, one is to wait until it "recharges", or by paying for a subscription.
I chose to pay, I used it for like half an hour, and I chose to cancel the subscription because this is not what I'm looking for (it cannot even solve a simple problem (tried multiple times and still not get what I wanted; comparison to chat solved it in 1 try, same prompt; it was a programming(php) issue)).
After the cancel, I write to the support for refunds (I did this for almost every ai service which I tried beyond the free version (most of the time the free versions are not showing what the tool is capable of, so I'm paying without issue), they refund me every time); the support email is just an air bot connected to it, so until you don't ask for a human, it will automatically answer your questions.
In the email the ai told me that I cannot get a refund because I'm not meeting the conditions (I don't know what the conditions are, because there is no public documentation which mentions this). I asked what either conditions are, and it's an absolute BS. There are 2 conditions, first is 14 days from the bought date, second is no usage on the subscription.
I talked with a human, but he told me the same. I asked where is the public documentation for it (there is none), so they coming up with excuses which makes no sense, so they don't need to pay you back.
They admitted that they don't have any public documentation related to the refund.
So overall it's a scam.

If you read this far, thanks and have a wonderful day!

P.S.: My English is not the best, so sorry for any typos, I hope it makes sense.

I love it. My name is Ameer Ali and I was surprised with how beautiful coding with this tool is. I'm currently using it after suffering many days with chatgpt I suddenly saw this company's AD and decided to give it a try. I'm shocked a tool like this is actually here and available to all!!

Bro 20$ is nothing to give me peace of mind!!

I love you so much 😍😍😍

Scammy company.
They sell you a subscription for a decent price, then they charge you for "overusing" it when you have had no information or accepted any of these extra charges.
There is no confirmation of these extended costs that you go through, they just pull it silently from your account.
Crazy how a company like this is allowed to exist?

Frustrating experience with token limits

Today, for the first time, I was blocked with a message stating "all tokens used" without any indication of when access would be restored. I was previously assured of unlimited usage, albeit at a slower pace, which turned out to be untrue. The tool is quite ineffective—money wasted, yet the task remains incomplete. This is disappointing.

Total waste of credit on a basic task.

I’ve just squandered all my credit on a simple task that it failed to accomplish. After 200 prompts, it couldn’t even create a basic tick animation on an icon. I strongly advise against using this service; it’s not worth your time or money. Edited: Now it’s completely frozen and unusable.

High Price with Low Value

The service is priced at $60/month, yet it uses the same Opus 4.5 Thinking model found in much cheaper alternatives. In my experience, the alternative consistently provided clearer reasoning, better code suggestions, and needed fewer corrections, all at a much lower cost. The service did not deliver the quality or productivity improvements to warrant the higher price. Additionally, the strict no-refund policy makes this subscription a risky investment.

Users face exploitation and time-wasting tactics.

This service takes advantage of users through a strategy of wasting time and sabotaging projects. You invest money, yet they squander your time. Their model is structured to minimize your benefits, increase your time spent, generate numerous errors, and intentionally disrupt sessions. They cause crashes, display misleading messages, and instigate system failures. Occasionally, they even ask you to lower your security settings. They show false alerts claiming that someone is trying to hack your system—many deceptive tricks. In essence, it feels more like theft than actual software development. Even if you request a simple six-line program, they would take seven days without delivering any results. This service relies on exploiting users through time-wasting, error generation, and misleading messages. They pressure users for more money, complicating the process of extending subscriptions if you’re on a plan. Instead, they try to push you towards purchasing a higher-tier plan. They attempt to extract funds by charging for each specific type or model you may want. Ultimately, they intimidate users through time-wasting and unnecessary alerts. Their service quality is poor, technical support is lacking, and they often ignore user messages, assuming the contact information on their site is even valid.
