Been a loyal Decathlon customer for over 30 years, starting when a teenager, in France. They always offer the best value for money sport equipment & clothing. I have bought most of my gear for running, cycling, hiking, gymming (is that a thing?), swimming and camping from them. An excellent choice, especially when starting out and not wanting to go broke. And now that they accept Amex card payments, I'm happier than ever! I prefer going to the physical stores in Surrey Quayes or Wandsworth so I can try on, but online shopping works well too. But best of all, they give you a year (yes. 365 days!) to return an unused purchase. As a known proscratinator, that came in handy to me a few times, this past year. Never had to argue with anyone to get my money back.

Frustrating Experience with Customer Support

I reached out to customer support on 30th November about a faulty turbo trainer still under warranty and completed the necessary form for technical assistance. Over the next two weeks, I followed up four times, only to discover that my request had been misdirected to the wrong department after contacting support through a different channel. I received one reply from the appropriate technical team directing me to the troubleshooting guide and assuring me of further assistance. Unfortunately, that's where it ended. I've since followed up ten more times through various contact methods, but all I've received is an initial acknowledgment stating they would look into it. Any further inquiries from my side have gone unanswered. To whoever responds to this review, please refrain from sending a generic reply. I've shared the order number and expect to be contacted to return the faulty product as per your warranty policy, given the lack of support provided.

Frustrating Experience with Sizing Issues

I ordered a pair of golf trousers for Christmas, but they arrived two sizes too small. I arranged a return and reordered, only to face the same issue again with the second order. The explanation I received was that the sizing might be incorrect since the item came from a third party. I've been unable to get a callback to discuss the situation, and I'm now struggling to arrange the return for the second order. I'm unsure about what size to order if I decide to try again, and I've already spent money on two orders. I'm extremely dissatisfied and cannot recommend this service. Please reach out to me to resolve this, as it has dragged on for too long.

Frustrating Experience with the Local Branch

I am writing this review due to my attempts to address the inadequate performance of a local branch with the central office on two separate occasions. Initially, I was informed that the central office would not assist and that I needed to resolve my issues directly with the branch; the second attempt was met with silence. I have documentation to support my claims, including emails dated August 8, 2025, and December 18, 2025. The branch used second-hand parts to repair the new bike I bought from them. I was told these parts came from a high-end bike, suggesting I should be pleased or impressed. This seems to be a common practice. After returning the bike due to ongoing issues, I was assured it was fixed, but the problems persisted. When I contacted the central office again, I was told to return to the branch. The branch manager mentioned they would order a new wheel and inform me when it arrived. Four months passed without any updates, so I visited the branch in person. I explained my situation, but they seemed unaware of the issue. It was only after I showed them the manager's message that they began to take action. I waited for an hour before someone, other than the manager, came to speak with me. They informed me that the order had been canceled without notification. They promised to place a new order and update me. I also reported another problem with the bike's control unit, which they acknowledged as a common issue and said they would fix. A month later, I still had no updates. When I called the branch, they were confused about my situation and left me waiting while they searched for information. They eventually said the bike was ready for collection, but the wheel had not been replaced and the control unit issue was still unresolved. I requested details about the work done, but the representative promised to call me back, which has yet to happen. I contacted the central office again with a detailed account of my experience and supporting evidence, but I have yet to receive a response or even an acknowledgment. As a consumer, my rights have been overlooked, and my efforts to report this inadequate branch have been ignored. I have made every effort to resolve these issues with the branch, but all I've encountered is dishonesty. My attempts to engage with the central office have been met with refusal to assist and subsequent neglect. While the store's presentation and sales tactics are commendable, their after-sales service is virtually non-existent, and the product quality has not met my expectations. Customer service has been the worst I have ever encountered. As of now, the bike has remained at the branch since November 29, 2025.

My son is extremely satisfied with his new 24-inch wheel bike. He believes it's the best bike he's ever seen, thanks to its quality, speed, maneuverability, and agility. The packaging was robust and well-designed, allowing for easy setup—just pump up the tires and tighten a few screws.

Disappointing quality, not recommended.

I’ve only worn them a few times, yet holes have appeared on the left knee of both pairs! This has never happened with previous purchases, so it seems the quality has declined. I'm uncertain about buying again and can't recommend them to others.
