My eldest wanted his name changed for his 18th birthday and my friend recommended going through Deed Poll as her sister had used them in the past. I found the site straight forward to use. I did initially expect to pay £36. I didn’t realise you would need additional documents as some organisations/banks like to keep originals ect. Obviously you have to pay extra for those and I did decide to use their archive service (again that’s another fee) but it’s all clearly explained and priced plus you don’t have to add it if you don’t want to. I thought customer service was quite helpful too. I messaged them before purchasing to double check a few things over. And again when I was waiting for delivery and they replied straight away with answers. My reason for 4 stars is purely on the time it’s taken to receive the documents. I think they need to be more clear on process/delivery time. I picked standard delivery as I was in no rush which on the site says 2-4 working days. I ordered on Thursday 17th so expected to receive them latest by Wednesday 23rd. When I still hadn’t received them by Thursday I had a look on their Q&A page and it said it takes 2 days to process the paperwork, so I presumed I hadn’t received them because I needed to add the extra 2 days to the delivery time (which would make it Friday 25th latest) I got a little worried when I still hadn’t received them by Saturday, so dropped them an e-mail and they replied straight away saying, I had pick standard delivery which takes 4 working days and that they where in the post and I would receive it early next week. They finally arrived on Tuesday 29th. 12 days after ordering (8 working days) Like I said I wasn’t in a rush to receive them but for peace of mind it would have been nice to know a realistic timeline or estimate delivery date. Or maybe drop an e-mail when the documents are dispatched. Over all I was happy with the service and would recommend to others. Edit : Reply to DeedpollJust an e-mail saying your order has been processed and dispatched and should be with you in 2-4 days would be sufficient. You could also e-mail if there’s a delay saying apologies due to high volumes your order has been delayed and we’ll update you when it’s dispatched. But I feel you wouldn’t need to do the delayed e-mail if you made the process time more clearer on your website. I saw 2-4 days delivery and presumed I would get it within 2-4 days. I only found out about the process time after going through you Q&A page. And I didn’t even know that it could be delayed further if you had a high number of priority orders until you just mentioned it. Making that a little more clearer on the delivery page would help. Like I said I wasn’t in any rush but I did start to worry after a week that it may have been mis-delivered or lost. But I got in touch and you replied straight a way which reassured me. I writing this to warn people of ongoing rip off scaming behaviour from this companies I have experience, I could see on trustpilot there is another company with the exact same information and could see the same link but have low rating, however both are linked with the same website so I am notifying trustpilot these companies are two of the same or there something else going on.I have paid for in the past legal documents from other compaines and high courts and they have never requested extra, they amended or refunded but not requested more money.I required a deed poll document for legal purposes and the business who requested I use this particular deed poll company and high courts strand and no other.I completed their online form and paid for what they stated in their page for adult deed poll £30 turned into £57I paid for it, with additional £6 for speedy delivery.It arrived, however to get the legal documents I will require to complete the draft to my knowledge and get it signed by someone you know and you will reqiure post back the free post documents to the company to receive the two legal documents.When I took the draft to legal appointment they requested I change one detail on the document, so I emailed the company straight awayfor one change of detail to the document, which is adding additional name, bare in mind I still haven't received the two legal copies yet until I return the original, they mentioned via email, I will require to pay another £48 on top, they litterally calculated random fees for a new document to be issues I kindly asked this company to explain and the email narrative changes. I haven't received what I paid for so can you kindly emend it by adding the additional name, that's it.Their response via email is the document I am asking for is complex?How ?Its adding another name to the deed poll.I had tried to contact this company today 3 x by calling them via the phone, the phone does not connect.All I want is the amended document I paid, I have spent the whole day going backwards and forwards via email.It's disgusting and outrageous, I cannot recommend their service, I want to know what this company going to do to rectify this madness.
If I could I'd give it 0 stars absolutely disgusting service asking for more money after not even doing what they where supposed to do, complete bullshit scam of a company, do not trust and would not recommend so be careful people because I've lost my money, disgraceful and would not give them a penny if I'd have known.
