The service continues to be incredibly frustrating! They repeatedly mess up our deliveries from overseas suppliers. If they were trying to perform poorly, they couldn't do worse. Recently, we received a notice about a missed delivery, providing some options for rescheduling or pickup, but without any waybill number or reference information. There’s nothing we could possibly thank them for. Even if shipping were free, it would still feel overpriced.
DHL-USA continues to be the very worst! They consistently foul up our deliveries from our German and Austrian suppliers. If they were intentionally trying to perform so poorly, they couldn’t actually do worse. Today we received a doortag notice of a missed delivery, offering some options on how to manage delivery, offering to forego signatures, or for us to pickup at a DHL office, etc. But, no waybill# or any reference info. DHL-USA does nothing that we could imagine thanking them for. If they shipped for free, it would still be too expensive.
6 days my parcel has been sitting in the delivery office! Once it came out to be delivered and no delivery attempt made and it went back to the delivery office……where it still sits. It’s hilariously bad……..the good news is I will be telling the driver to stick it where the sun don’t shine because if it ever gets here I’m refusing delivery.
I had a few option to choose delivery company from. Needed item EARLIEST possible, so chose DHL, though being 42 USD vs others for 20 or even less, just to gain 2 days to get the shipment quicker. Shipment has been released by supplier SAME DAY hence well in time, but now DHL pushes out the delivery from my perspective for NO reason! Requested explanation as well as a compensation to the difference of e.g. 20 USD but all this is not heard and only flower-power blablabla messages. lesson learned: NO MORE DHL if Fed Ex or others are an option! BTW: had very similar issues also in Germany and Europe with DHL.... Such bad service but requesting FIRST CLASS prime service fees - not again!
Ordered a pocket watch which was shipped from New Jersey. Slow shipping speed and now I find out is was sent to the wrong city in KY. Now I get a message reading "Shipping Exception mis shipped. Otherwise it's lost and DHL doesn't work on weekends. Which makes my PKG now very late. DHL sucks the big one.
Nothing more can be written for this garbage company. I used it on 2021 to ship vitamins to Asia, I chose the FASTEST method (around USD 170, delivery in 5 to 7 days) because it was a pack of vitamins for people in need during covid pandemic in Asia. Not only they did not deliver my package, DHL made mistake when typing my custom form on their computer. It ended up I had to pay extra $500 for custom or the package wouldn't be delivered. It was a nightmare. It took more than a month for the vitamins box to be delivered.Today Aug 18 I was supposed to receive an international package. DHL was the only option the company I bought from had to ship to USA. When I checked the tracking, my package has been in DHL Phoenix since Aug 15 and has not moved an inch. I finally got to chat with a human from DHL, only to be told that my package has been forwarded to the third party which is USPS since Aug 15. Then the human chat hung up on me. Of course USPS is the slowest and never answers the phone so I just gave up. DHL is definitely worse than Fedex. I'd received packages from Fedex just fine. But with DHL, I never had a normal experience with them.
Clearly DHL doesn’t bother reading these reviews because it appears they are universally hated. Even their employees don’t like them. DHL website is extremely difficult, leading you down blind alleys when you try and get to customer service. I was just trying to arrange a delivery and found it very difficult. I’m still in a do loop waiting for a call back, which I only got because there was a user blog recommendation on how to get around DHL’s phone prompts. I would never recommend this service to anyone, although they seem to have a lock on international deliveries. I am trying to get a table delivered from Morocco.As a follow up: I got around the phone prompts but was put into a cue for a call back between 2 and 4pm. At 2:00 I started getting automated phones calls (six times) which when answered went dead immediately. Then around 3:30 today I got an alert from my Ring Camera alerting me (I was not home) to someone at my front door…a DHL delivery truck. Fortunately, I was able to speak to the driver through the Ring Camera and told him to leave the huge box on the front steps of the house. If I had not been alerted, the driver would have left and I still would not have been able to contact DHL. DHL is clearly not interested in customer service, or at least at it relates to the recipients.`
I actually work for DHL and I can tell you that communication is terrible. No one knows wtf they're doing. Ask a question via email or texts get ignored. Currently looking for another job. Coming to work here was a big mistake...
