When it goes right it’s great, which is most of the timesWhen it goes wrong it feels like you just had your identity stolen. It’s impossible to cancel things, don’t ever “double dash” you aren’t guaranteed to get both things. Nobody can help, nobody. It’s like a pass the hot potato around while you have an 80 dollar charge on your card.Ultimately, the parent company SHOULD be responsible for all mishaps, make refunds to customers when needed and do their own investigation. It’s not my responsibility to figure out why the restaurant messed up, or did my driver get lost, etc etc etc. there is no way I can tell where the fault lies and I have nobody to assist me when issues arise, everyone’s hands are tied (or at least that’s what they say)Like mentioned before, you will just feel like a scammer took your credit card info and did what they wanted when it goes bad.Company should just stop this BS because they are WAY too expensive for these kind of issues to be left unresolved.Placed a double dash order, immediately one of the places kicked an item off (supposedly the store was out of stock) not sure who lied there but it was definitely in stock, maybe they kicked it because they didn’t want to have to deal with alcohol? The other was for mixing sodas we didn’t need if we had nothing to mix them with. Tried to text with driver, they were responsive, they said they couldn’t cancel it, and it would not let us cancel it either, so I figured if I had them coming I would click the button left for double dash and add a pizza, at the same time I guess the driver was trying to get the sodas marked as out of stock to help us ditch the broken order, I was hungry, my wife was frustrated because there was not enough time to add her order so she did another from another restaurant. Then door dash decides oh shell is out of those sodas you didn’t want so we auto redirect it to a dollar general and then it’s on its way? It was one big cluster over just wanting a bottle of whiskey with some mixers early knowing in a few hours we would order something else for dinner. We even made sure the commonly stocked whiskey had an alternate replacement of the larger bottle if the smaller was out of stock, the liquor caused all the chaos, I guess rule of thumb is to make sure your liquor cabinet is properly stocked before you have that first drink and refuse to drive yourselfThat evening we literally had 2 drivers at our house at the same time with a 3rd a stop sign away.Driver and parent company need employer / employee relationship, this self employed stuff is just an excuse for them to doge responsibilities and blame.Now can I fault any of these drivers, no, the problem exists with the parent company and its web application (and probably the drivers app too)
Their website does not provide a way to update credit/debit cards. I have not been able to use the site because the my debit cards have been replaced. Even the edit button does not help to erase the old numbers of the cancelled cards to put in the new numbers
Would like to add another bad review as a driver for DD. As a driver I always accurate and always completed my deliveries on time. Once my internet connection failed for some reason. Was that my phone or my service I do not know. How do you drive without GPS? I got lost a bit and was late because of this. They rush to punish you for this. They immediately put you on the black list giving you bad ratings and 90% completion rate. No matter what. And this was the first time in more than a year driving. The support is probably is the worst of all companies and zero help. It is all automated and makes no sense at all. So, instead of giving your drivers troubles for nothing and for the pennies you are paying them why don't you work on getting more and better orders??? Currently as a driver i see almost no offers. All areas are grey, which means no orders. And most of the offers I'm getting are like $5 for driving about 10 miles using my own car. We are using our cars, insurances, gasoline why do you even send such ridiculous offers to you drivers? I do not even want to mention shop and deliver orders. I tried that but the pay was even more horrible and made no sense because you get more money just to deliver the food. So, I stopped doing this. Unfortunately most if not all delivery companies like this. Overall 1/2 star ratings.
I signed up to be a Dasher months ago at first everything was going as planned and then I kept seeing your background hasn’t came back it’s been 6-7 months I called the help number the young lady try to find out what’s the hold up Notification for my background check has came in, but it never did keep saying update the app I really feel like I’m being I did everything they asked of me now I feel like getting me a lawyer I feel played a couple of lawyers say I have a good case I Signed up for Dasher soI can make spare money to help pay my bill I know it doesn’t take this dam long to do a background check the holidays has past now I need some answers my next step is to call corporate and my lawyer I need answers
