DoorDash processing payments before orders are picked up. The merchant cancel my order and DoorDash refund take 3 to 5 days when payment shouldn’t have been processed until order was picked up use Uber eats a GrubHub and you will not have this problem.
DoorDash is trash, they love to take your money each month for dash pass but when the dashers that they hire or the store that they deliver for messes up their order they refuse to make it right, I will be going with Uber Eats from now on Door dash can kiss my well you know
Signed up for DashPass because the promise of free delivery and lower fees made financial sense given how often I order. What I actually got was the same mediocre experience with a monthly charge attached to it. Orders still arrive late, the delivery estimates are consistently optimistic to the point of being fictional, and customer service is a chatbot maze that almost never connects you to a real person. Cancelled after four months and felt genuinely relieved about it.
Every order for the last 3 months I have placed ( 2 a week ) i somehow owed them 4.58bag fee and being charged 2.88usd bottle deposit fee on 24pk water - and not refunding my unavailable items. And because they are charging me more then I paid ( their decision is no matter what you pay we can charge more ) so I’ll end up with 5 different charges for one order - item unavailable should be a 9.89tx refund. But somehow I owed 4$ more then I paid - be careful people. Not kidding. Secretly just with a few bucks here or there you sometimes don’t notice they are adding 10$ in different fees to your order - check everything. Not just what you’re paying when you check out. CHeck What they decided to charge you without your concent
My food shows up cold and times not even cooked. Now that the merchants have let the standards down as a lot of consumers got into the habit of ordering during COVID. DoorDash will simply tell you nothing they can do but escalated it and then you never hear back. They do not care about the customers or service only getting surveys. Here's another one for you.... you suck and I hope you enjoyed you gain from the pandemic.
We've had a subscription for dash pass for a long time and as of the last 2 months, whenever we submit an order, food or otherwise, even when I pay the rush fee we have to wait more than 2 hours for some things to be delivered and they dont. We get a timing update and still no driver assigned to our order, leaving us to cancel an order after waiting hours for it to arrive. We've also been running into instances where we'll open our app, all od the locations in our neighborhood are open and available and as soon as we create an order, were told that our cart is no longer available for purchase and were prompted to resubmit that order with a store the next town over or further and were forced to pay ANOTHER fee for long distance. Even though 2 minutes prior, the desired location was available. Im not ordering with doordash for items any longer knowing what a pyramid scheme it is.
With how much money i have spent and everyone has spent with the company and for them to have zero customer service that will communicate or help is unacceptable. I spend a lot woth them and i think its time to delete my account cause they are getting to be that bad. To offer me $5 credit after already this probably spending over $10000 is a slap in my face and should show everyone how they value the customers. They are a joke
Got a delivery notification with a photo of my food sitting on a porch that was very clearly not mine. Wrong house, wrong street from the looks of it. Contacted support immediately with the photo evidence they themselves sent me and was told the delivery was marked complete and they could not issue a refund. I paid thirty two dollars for a meal that is currently sitting on a stranger's doorstep somewhere in my neighborhood. The fact that this is their policy is genuinely stunning to me.
Absolutely unacceptable experience. My order arrived 50 minutes late and the food was completely cold — not “a little cool,” but cold enough that it clearly sat somewhere far too long.
What makes it worse is the complete lack of accountability. I received no meaningful updates, no proactive communication, and when I tried reaching customer service, it felt like talking to a wall. Generic responses, no real resolution, and no effort to make it right.
With all the delivery fees, service fees, and inflated menu prices they charge, you would expect at least basic reliability and support. Instead, it felt like once they had my money, the service ended.
This was a frustrating waste of time and money. Based on this experience, I won’t be using DoorDash again.
Terrible business practice. Received a delivery order that was very messed up. Reached out to DoorDash with photos and documentation of what was ordered versus what I got ( which included dietary restrictions). There response was basically sorry you have to pay for the food you can not eat. We will be canceling our membership as soon as the year subscription is up.
