I recently bought a new phone as a replacement for my older model. The phone itself works well, but I was disappointed with the charger situation. The instructions state that no charger is included due to EU regulations encouraging the use of existing chargers for environmental reasons. While I understand this, the new phone uses a usbC connection instead of the previous usbA. This means I can't use my old chargers and must buy a new one, which seems counterproductive to the environmental initiative.

I took an elderly gentleman across the city to purchase a simple cell phone. The sales agent transferred his contacts from his broken phone. However, when he got home, the new phone wouldn't charge.
