I’ve held back giving this review but after reading about the experiences other owners have had I decided to have my say.My lovely dog was checked as he was having pain in his back leg.The Italian vet said it was wearing of the bones in his spine and showed me the x Ray,not that I understood but you place your faith in them ,like you do a doctor.Bought my dog in for the op,had the op,came to pick him up the following day and he had had his cruciate ligament fixed 🤷🏼♂️.When questioned later Lia gave a load of cock and bull stories about why his leg and not his spine was operated on(emails kept).I know all businesses need to make money to keep running but this one is extremely money orientated.I cancelled the pet plan which I had paid for since he was a puppy and they tried charging me around £150 for “owed” money.I refused to pay,3 weeks later an invoice came through for £32,they had “ checked their records” and this was the final bill.Avoid this Vets at all costs,the reviews are mostly horrific and at the end of the day these animals are our family and you wouldn’t let a doctor treat your children like this.
Took my dog in for a blood test to figure out if there was anything wrong. Never used them before. I left without my boy. My baby. I am destroyed. The vet did not listen to me. The vet took my dog and gave me back a dead body. Avoid avoid avoid.
Downland Hilsea gave me an emergency appointment to change a wound dressing on my little dog. They fitted me in although they were busy and didn't really need to, they were kind and courteous and I couldn't fault them for the care of my boy. I really appreciated their efficiency, welcome and care.
Went to buy some renal cat food - 10 wet food pouches - here today in Chichester … £8.40 I was told. After ages staring at the computer, I was told no, the price for me is £10.90. Some sharp practice, surely? Something questionable about this vets prices and customer service?
We had to take our dog to be put down on a Sunday. Downland were on duty that day and I'm so glad they were. Within minutes they were stretchering our heavy dog inside, they were very kind, professional and efficient. The vet was really good, explaining the diagnosis and options.
We recently had to go to Downlands in Bognor Regis following an emergency with our whippet. The staff could not have been more caring and helpful. Eleanor, the vet, went through everything and explained clearly what needed to happen. We were referred to Anderson Moores in Winchester for an MRI scan. During the incident, which turned out to be a stroke.. my lovely, gentle dog bit my arm and once again, the staff were very solicitous, helping me clean my wound. We had to go back and forth and they all recognised us and sprung into action when we arrived.. they loaned us heat pads and blankets to travel to Winchester.Two days later we had a follow up call from Eleanor to check on progress. The bill came to a lot less than I was expecting... I cannot fault their service.
The vet was 20 mins late seeing my dog.He felt her heart & confirmed what I already knew about her arthritis.The nurse clipped Katy's claws minimally but not enough, she still has resistance as claws are still too long.The vet said that he'd give me a script for her meds having quoted me £70 for 30 tabs which I got for £29.The vet made sure that I had to send off the script even though he'd said this wasn't necessary thismorning....Very stressful day.
I found the Hilsea team of DVG to be caring and kind. I was listened to and advised about health and possible supplements for my labrador's. Covid risk was managed very well. I felp safe while I was there. Special thanks to Amanda for going outside to look for paperwork I dropped and was worried about. Amanda found it and called me to put my mind rest. Thank you to the Hilsea team.
